FOOTBALL MANAGER COMING TO XBOX FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 13 YEARS

Football Manager is a popular series of football club management simulators, which, due to its penchant for "Excel" tablets, is considered a prerogative of the PC. The franchise looks at the console, but reluctantly and irregularly: in recent years, only the version for the Nintendo Switch has steadily appeared.

However, for  Football Manager 2021, there  will be an Xbox One and Xbox Series variant. It is based on the version of Football Manager Touch that is distributed on Switch and mobile devices, but is optimized for gamepads. The series last hit the Xbox in 2007 with Football Manager 2008 for the Xbox 360.

Build FM21 for Xbox will be distributed through the Play Anywhere system - by purchasing it in the Microsoft store , you will automatically get access to the game on Xbox One, Xbox Series and in the Windows 10 store. However, the developers warn that the available leagues will change depending on the platform.

A curious fact: in the words of the head of the series Football Manager Miles Jacobson (the Miles Jacobson), FM21 comes out on PlayStation simply because Sony did not send Sports Interactive Devco. Developers asked the corporation for tools for both PS4 and PS5, but Sony considered that other games were a priority for it and did not give the studio devkits.

But Microsoft interested in requesting Sports Interactive and gave everything you need. Therefore FM21 will be released on Xbox, but not on PlayStation.

Football Manager 2021  kicks off November 24 on PC ( Steam , Epic Games Store ). FM21 Touch will reach Switch in December. Release date for Xbox is undefined - "until the end of the year."
