BALDUR'S GATE 3: HOW TO SOLVE THE MOONLIGHT PUZZLE

On the Song of the Night quest, you will encounter a temple with a unique and challenging puzzle. It is located in the depths of the goblin camp. Solving this puzzle will unlock access to the Underdark associated with Shadowhart's quest and Halsin's mission. A minimum of hints have been added to solve the riddle, but if you have knowledge of the phases of the moon, you may be able to solve it yourself.

After you deal with the goblin priestess True Gut, you can search her chambers. Behind her room is the entrance to the defiled temple. There are stone discs behind the door. Move them so that all the phases of the moon coincide (full moon above, crescents on the sides, darkness below).

If you just entered the room and saw the slabs and the fallen statue, here is the solution for rotating the stone discs (otherwise, load the save before the moment when the discs began to rotate):

- Top
- Left
- Right x2
- Bottom x3
- Left x2
- Right x2
- Left
- Top
- Left
- Top x3
- Left x3
- Right
- Top x3
- Right x3
- Top
- Right

Once you solve the puzzle, a room at the far end will open and you can access the Underdark. However, you can avoid solving the riddle. To the right of the fallen statue, there is a castle in gold decoration hanging on the wall. If your characters find it (through an attention check) and break it, the door to the Underdark will open on its own.
