Space developers in every sense of the online game Among Us have shared a video of the pre-release build gameplay. It turns out that initially there was no traitor in the game. Rather, formally it was still, but bore a different name.
A few months before the release (the release took place in June 2018), the traitor was called infected. It is likely that at some point the developers considered such a name too commonplace and decided to change it.

But the developers approved the character design very quickly.
