Assassin's Creed Valhalla: how the settlement works and all houses at a glance

As Ubisoft already indicated when announcing Assassin's Creed Valhalla , you can build your own settlement again in the action-adventure. Your home is called Hraefnathorp . From here you can set out on trips with Eivor, plan them and tackle new robberies.

When can I start building my own settlement?

As soon as you arrive in England, you can start expanding your settlement. At the beginning, a new settlement costs 400 supplies and 30 raw materials.

Required supplies & raw materials for your settlement

Of course, your settlement in Valhalla is not created simply by air and love, but requires two types of raw materials.

  • You can get supplies by looting in England. Supplies are indicated by a glowing gold icon on your map.
  • Raw Materials - The only way to get raw materials is to raid monasteries in England. Such places are marked with a marker made of two red axes.

Longhouse

In the middle of your settlement there is a so-called long house, which forms the center of your colony and serves several purposes. Here, for example, feasts can be held that give you short-term buffs.

In the neighboring quarters you can give Eivor a little rest, while there is even a mailbox in which messages from other characters can be received. You can also customize your character, change your mount or customize weapons at the blacksmith's.

Ultimately, however, the longhouse also serves as the basis for your further journey. So you will keep coming back to this building to make new decisions as part of the story. But keep in mind that not everything is immediately available. Finally, there are a total of six levels with updates for your settlement. So you will come back here every now and then during the main action to check that everything is going well, to unlock new buildings or simply to attend the hustle and bustle of the residents.

Warrior Camp (Barracks)

In the war camps your settlement you can Jomsvikings train that accompany you not only during robberies, but can occur with other players. So if your warriors are hired by other players, you will receive silver in return.
