Assassin's Creed: Valhalla - How to Unlock the Sepulcher Fire Axe

Assassin's Creed: Valhalla

Much like Assassin's Creed: Odyssey before it, Assassin's Creed: Valhalla encourages players to choose the playstyle that suits them best, whether it's shooting and shooting arrows, focusing on stealth and killing targets, or rushing into battle. Valhalla has tons of powerful weapons to complement these play styles, but the Sepulcher Axe is one of the best options for open confrontation.

The Sepulcher Axe is fairly easy to obtain, but players will have to go through the main story before it becomes available. Assassin's Creed: Valhalla consists of several chapters, and this powerful axe can only be obtained after the player reaches the third chapter.

Fortunately, it's not even that far, so it's quite difficult for players who know where to look to miss it. The first step to finding the Burial Fire Axe is to start the Altering Equilibrium quest and find King Burgred's Refuge. This can be done in the Offchurch zone on Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, near the confluence of two rivers.

How to Unlock the Sepulcher Fire Axe

After the player finds the refuge of King Burgred, he will have to fight his way through several enemies. Eventually, they must meet King Burgred himself in His Highness's quarters, where he can be tied up and captured. Before leaving this area to complete the quest, take a look at the large gold chest to the left of the King. Opening it will reward you with the Sepulcher Axe, one of the best weapons in Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, so that it can begin unleashing fiery death on its enemies.

The axe itself is especially powerful due to its special effect. Whenever a player makes a critical strike with this weapon, the blade ignites for five seconds, dealing additional Fire damage to enemies it hits. Once the flame has gone out, it cannot be reignited for the next ten seconds, but its high base stats should make up for any downtime like this. This weapon can also be used in conjunction with other weapons and even dual wield if the player unlocked Eyvor's Heavy Dual Wield ability from the skill tree.

The Sepulcher Axe is an example of an extremely powerful weapon that is very easy to obtain, but there are several other tools of destruction that players can find along their journey. These weapons feature a more confrontational playstyle, but players looking for stealth and ranged combat in Assassin's Creed: Valhalla can also find equally powerful weapons.
