Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War - Best Settings

Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War - Best Settings

In this in-depth guide, we'll go over all the options in the Black Ops - Cold War settings menu and what should be the best settings in multiplayer matches (MP) so that you have the best footage, the best graphics, and the most optimized gaming experience.

Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War Top Settings

It is an unwritten rule in all first person shooters to fully understand and optimize controls, audio and video settings to fully optimize your games.

Graphics settings

In the settings menu, most of us will first go to the graphics settings after installing Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War for the first time.

So, in the graphical settings menu bar, let's go through the many options one by one.

First, it is full screen mode, which must remain as it is. This is followed by the refresh rate, which should be the maximum that your monitor can handle.

Now the next things are gameplay V-sync and menu V-sync.

We recommend that you keep them both off for the best experience, unless your computer is powerful enough to handle it, or you have a G-sync monitor.

The next option is the render resolution, which should remain at 100.

The resolution should be as high as your monitor (and GPU) can handle, and the aspect ratio should remain automatic. Next up is color blindness, which is basically a utility setting.

The field of view (FOV) is now an important setting. Now it depends on the performance of your computer and monitor.

In the case of a field of view, the larger the better (down to what you find comfortable). But your FPS will take a hit as soon as you increase your field of view.

The 100 field of view is the best option for mid to high end PCs and is enough for you to experience the best. But if you really have a crazy high-end computer, go for the max setting.

Then the advertising field of view appears. You have to keep it independent, as it will not be bound by your FOV settings, and no matter how high you keep your FOV settings, your ad will remain independent and you will get closer to your goal while in the ad, which will be very helpful. ...

Brightness is where you want it to be, and keep the frame rate cap unlimited.

Next comes the detail and texture section. You can choose the highest setting for each graphics setting if your computer can support it and you're not sacrificing frame rates.

Keep it in a medium to low range to maximize your FPS output to create an obvious edge over your opponents. A similar tactic applies to shadow and highlight settings.

We recommend that you turn off all shadows, as this will simply make your computer render less and give you more frames per second.

Keep Nvidia's Low Latency Mode on at Normal and Anti-Aliasing at the highest settings.

Make sure motion blur is off as it will simply blur your motion and make it difficult for you to see enemies.

Turn on subsurface scattering and turn off independent transparency.

There are not many game-related settings in the advanced menu, so leave it as it is.

Sound settings

Next comes the Cold War cod sound settings. Here you will see the first option to mute the sound, which of course should not be disabled.

Next comes the master volume; keep it at the maximum. Your music volume should be set to default.

Keep sound effects to their maximum, as this will have the most significant impact on your gameplay.

Sound effects will allow you to recognize enemy steps or if someone is hiding somewhere and makes noise or any other sound effect in the game. So, make sure it's maximum.

Keep the dialogue low. The cinematography will have a volume of commercials, which doesn't really matter, so it's your choice.

The audio presets are fine, but we will recommend high boost and bass boost.

Hit markers sound is your personal preference, try it out in game and you will have a better idea.

Next are the voice chat settings, which are entirely up to personal preference.

Interface settings

First, there are subtitle settings, which again depend on personal preference. Next comes everything that will be shown on your screen.

This is all about preference again, but be sure to check each setting and let it go into play to get a better idea, as having useful information always on screen is critical.

In Black Ops Cold War telemetry settings, we recommend that everything except frames per second remain hidden, as they will simply create unnecessary distraction, but this may be your choice and will not affect the game as a whole.

Controller / Joystick Settings

If you are a gamer with a controller, then these settings are for you. Or you can navigate your keyboard and mouse settings further forward.

The first is the horizontal and vertical sensitivity of the stick, and keep it at 8. This works very well for us, but check it out in a private match before heading out to a real match.

The sensitivity of the advertising stick should be 0.90 at low zoom and 1.10 at high zoom.

The layout of the buttons should be tactical. The flip setting needs to be flipped, allowing you to jump with L2, shoot with L1 and R1 so you have an easy jump shot.

Inverted vertical gaze must be disabled, controller vibration must be disabled. Everything else in the settings bar can remain the default, since the basic settings were everything we discussed above.

The best combinations (binds) of keyboard / mouse keys

For keyboard / mouse players, you'll start with the mouse settings on top.

Now, if you keep your mouse DPI settings at 450, then a mouse sensitivity of 7.5 will work best for you.

You can tweak it from there if you want to do your preferred minor tweaks.

Next is the vehicle's mouse sensitivity, which should remain at level 1, the inverted mouse is your personal choice.

In ADS Mouse sensitivity, keep both low and high zoom sensitivity at 1, and the ADS sensitivity transition time should be gradual.

The vertical sensitivity of the mouse should also be at level 1, and the sensitivity mode of the ADS mouse should be relative.

Keep your monitor distance ratio at 1.33. Keep mouse acceleration and mouse filtering at 0, and mouse anti-aliasing should be disabled as well.

In addition to these settings, there is a gameplay tab, which is all of your personal keybindings and uses them.

We recommend that you try your hand at a private match and find the settings that work best for you.
