Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Patch Information

Treyarch has released a patch notes list for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War detailing the changes for the upcoming game, which will launch later this week.

The patch notes list a few modes that weren't in the beta, such as the search and destroy and hardcore modes, and new weapons. Each weapon class has been rebalanced since beta, with submachine guns less effective at long ranges, increased damage to LMGs and burst-firing pistols with reduced range and accuracy.

Improved the sound of player footsteps, weapons, hit marker, damage feedback, and acoustics on each map.

Glide has undergone the biggest changes: decreased slide length, decreased slide speed, and no longer accelerated sprint slip for weapon firing.

The studio saw players slipping out of the sprint to fire a weapon rather than just finishing the sprint because it was faster during beta testing and Treyarch said the movement was fixed. The studio also noted that it will continue to tweak movement, spawns, sniper shooting, and more after launch.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Launches For PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One on Friday, November 13. Preloading is already available for all systems.
