In a recent tweet, the developers at Remedy Entertainment confirmed that an updated version of Control for the next generation of consoles has been pushed back to 2021 . The exact release date is not yet known.
An update from the development team: Control Ultimate Edition will arrive on next generation platforms early 2021.

Control: Ultimate Edition does not support next generation free updates for either PlayStation or Xbox.
Control is currently available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It was also recently released on Nintendo Switch as a cloud version.
