Crysis Remastered Latest Patch Increases Performance Up To 43.75% In CPU-bound Scenes

As previously reported , Crytek has released a new update for the PC version of Crysis Remastered . New testing reveals that 1.3.0 update significantly improves performance in CPU-bound scenes.

For example, this scene ran at 48fps at 1080p / Very High settings on a PC test system (Intel i9 9900K with 16GB DDR4 at 3600MHz and NVIDIA RTX 2080Ti). In this latest update, this scene runs at 69fps with the same settings. In other words, we are talking about a 43.75% increase in performance in this particular scene.

The game still mainly uses one core / CPU thread. However, Crytek managed to optimize the code and improve overall performance.

What's more, Crytek has also fixed the "momentum" of movement when switching between different suit modes. In the previous version, players lost momentum when switching between speed and power modes. More precisely, there was a "pause of movement" when switching modes. However, in this latest version, the momentum of movement is the same as in the original Crysis game. So you can use speed mode (for running) and then switch to power mode so you can jump very high.

In its current state, Crysis Remastered looks and performs better than the original version without updates.
