The developers at Fuerilla Games have announced that the 1.07 update for the PC version of Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition is now available. The team worked hard on some of the more complex graphical issues that took longer to develop.
In patch 1.07, the team rewrote the way the engine works with shaders and their optimization. As a result, the optimization step becomes unnecessary and the anisotropic filtering option now works as expected.
What this means for you: When the game starts, it will optimize the shaders in the main menu every time. Shaders will also be optimized during gameplay, but this now happens automatically in the background.
Allowing the game to run the initial shader optimization is completely optional, so if you want to get straight to the point, you can skip it; Allowing this process to finish before starting the game will reduce loading times. Finally, please note that changing your anisotropic filtering settings may take some time depending on your PC hardware.
