Square Enix Released Trailers For Mobile Game RANBU: Sangokushi Rumble

Square Enix has released a new gameplay trailer and tons of videos about the upcoming mobile game RANBU: Sangokushi Rumble .

This is a good chance to see what the game will look like ahead of the Japanese release on November 16 for iOS and Android. No western release announced yet.

You can check it out below along with several videos featuring the main characters at the bottom of the post.

If the name sounds familiar, it's because Square Enix has been launching a game called Sangokushi Rumble for several years now. This new game was developed by the same team and is finally coming out after a long delay (it was originally announced for 2019).

The original Sangokushi Rumble was quite successful with over 3,500,000 downloads in Japan. As you can tell from the title, the action takes place in the mythology of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

From the looks of it, Square Enix intends to take the franchise a notch higher, as they use a fairly typical anime portrayal of full-fledged commanders. This is not new to Japanese games and anime, applicable to both the Romance of the Three Kingdoms mythology and Sengoku Jidai. Basically, in RANBU: Sangokushi Rumble, you can expect famous male officers to turn into girls. Interestingly, some heroes like Cao Cao seem to have retained their original gender.
