Star Wars: The Old Republic - Soldiers Builds

Star Wars: The Old Republic - Soldiers Builds

In this builds guide for the soldier we show you:

  • Which armor set and which set bonuses you need
  • Which skills you should choose
  • Which rotations we recommend

Equipped with blasters and an arsenal of other combat instruments, the soldiers in Star Wars: The Old Republic go into battle. Their heavy armor and access to a versatile arsenal enable them to act as long-range fighters from the back ranks as well as to fight as melee fighters on the front line. They are also ideal as a healer or as a tank.

Our soldiers guide to Star Wars. The Old Republic handles the best builds. We show you which mods, relics and tactical items are best for the respective discipline. Furthermore, you can expect a list of all set bonuses that the strongest set has for the respective discipline. We'll also give you a rotation of skills.

Front fighter: shield specialist

Since the update 6.0 it has always been worthwhile to fall back on the shield specialists. After the last update 5.10 it was ridiculously trumped by the kinetic battle shadow. In the meantime, a healthy balance has returned between the tank disciplines. With a shield specialist it is quite possible to refuel any game content in SWTOR.

Depending on the situation, it does a little better or worse than other tank disciplines, such as the defense Jedi guardian or the kinetic fight shadow. They are best suited for situations where the amount of average damage mitigation has a higher priority than certain defensive cooldowns. The Frontline Shield Specialist is also the first choice when it comes to completing a Dxun operation.

Front fighters: tacticians

At the beginning of game version 6.0, the tacticians did not start the update so well. A few patches were added later that changed that. With the bonuses from the Meteor flogger set and the tactical item motorcycle radar, the discipline is again able to cause the highest damage in the shortest possible time that is possible in SWTOR. With all of his abilities that provide instant mobility, he is an optimal addition to any raid team.

The tactician does a flawless battle in battles in which several targets have to be aimed at and attacked. However, you should be careful in situations in which you are faced with area damage. Due to the various defensive measures , the tactician is just as suitable as a second tank, provided that high damage peaks are anticipated.

Command: Combat medic

Since the update 6.0, the combat medic has enjoyed his status as the strongest healer in SWTOR. Further updates brought some deterioration for him, but he is still one of the best healers in SWTOR. The only difference is that he no longer has the extreme lead over all healing disciplines. Even if many players call the paramedic off, this is not necessarily the case.

Instead, with some playstyle adjustments with regard to other healing disciplines, he is on an equal footing. If several combat paramedics are deployed in raid groups , it is easier for them to heal area and individual damage than is the case in cooperation with other disciplines.
