CALL OF THE SEA: ORGAN PUZZLE GUIDE IN CHAPTER 3

Call Of The Sea is a first-person puzzle game developed by Out of the Blue and published by Raw Fury . The video game is full of environmental puzzles, also defined as puzzles, of a certain depth. In our review, we emphasized how cleverly combined clues, documents and puzzles have created an interesting title that encourages you to focus as much as possible. In today's article we will dedicate ourselves to giving you as accurate a guide as possible regarding one of the most difficult puzzles in the whole game: the organ puzzle at the end of the third chapter.

THE STEPS TO FOLLOW

  • First of all, you must have solved the frequency test of the black slime, which is in the room used as a radio station, inside the ship that you find next to the camping area, on the beach.

  • Once the test has been solved (and all areas have been restored to power), just get out of the ship, walk a little, and climb the stone stairs on the right: at the top we will find the giant stone organ, in the middle of a rain storm.

  • In the meantime we will notice in front of us: a pit on the ground dug into the stone, a sort of table (always in stone) and on the right a wooden table. Interacting with the stone table will turn it around, revealing a series of symbols and pipes (some empty and some filled with black slime) . There are precisely seven symbols that trace half of this surface and as many tubes that pass through it. At this point, lacking any information, it is necessary to begin to find as many clues as possible.

  • On the right, placed on the small wooden table, a hand-drawn document illustrates the purpose of our puzzle: to make the organ work by closing and opening the right pipes.

  • It is not difficult to notice that in addition to the seven pipes that are on the walls, there are also two stone stairs (which also allow you to find pipes that otherwise would not be accessible): one on the right and one on the left, both descend towards the sea . Taking the one on the right, until you find the end of the scale, you see an illustration in the stone with which you need to interact to understand that it marks the level of the tide (which will be drawn promptly in Norah's diary ).

  • At this point it is necessary to return to the field, more precisely the innermost section of the field, made accessible and explorable after giving electricity to illuminate it, not long before (so we repeat that it is essential to have already done everything necessary inside the ship ) . Entering the right awning you have to interact with the projector which shows the current tide level (and a set of other symbols) . Here is a new clue to add to Norah's diary.

  • Turning around, the presence of a small piano stands out. By playing the pianola it is possible to observe, and mark, the particular note (in Hz) to which the symbols that are present on the organ pipes (which are the key clue) correspond . Having already solved the dark slime frequency test, three specific frequencies among all that have been played are also highlighted . These are 262, 349 and 415.

  • Opening the diary just look at the symbols corresponding to those Hz, on the keyboard   (which are also shown in the photo above) . At this point it is necessary to turn to the stone tablet near the organ to understand which tubes to close and which to open to make the instrument work.

  • Looking at the diary page with the sea level indicator, it is essential to understand that that tide level causes the symbols that are on the top line to "transform", or perhaps equal, to those below the arrow . So if the three symbols corresponding to the three specific Hz before were the black diamond, the four black diamonds and the two isosceles triangles divided in half between right and left, the equivalent symbols will become: the two triangles divided in half (between above and below), the lonely triangle and the two diamonds side by side . The pipes to be opened are only those with these symbols drawn above, the others must all be closed. The stone table should look like this.

  • Finally, just close the pit dug in the stone completely , thanks to the controls that are right there in front. Clicking on the stone table immediately activates the organ and the puzzle is officially solved.
