Cyberpunk 2077: Blueprints - Where to Get?

This page of the Cyberpunk 2077 guide   explains  how to get Crafting Blueprints - Crafting Specification . Obtaining blueprints will allow you to produce new items (weapons, armor, grenades, medicines, etc.) by consuming the materials you have.

For more information on crafting, see  Crafting and Upgrading Weapons on a separate page.

Cyberpunk 2077: Blueprints

In  Cyberpunk 2077,  from the very beginning of the game, you have about a dozen blueprints to create items, and they only apply to the simplest types of weapons, disposables and ammunition.

You cannot expect to be able to craft more complex items straight away, even if you manage to obtain the appropriate crafting materials. You must first unlock new crafting stats to start thinking about crafting other things at all.

You can get new schemes mostly while playing. They can be found in the game world along with other  loot  or as a  reward for completing quests . The advantage of this method is that the schemes are free of charge. The downside is that you have no control over the order and circumstances of receiving the schemes.

If you need a blueprint from a specific category, you can  buy  it  from a trader . To do this, visit a store that is thematically related to the types of blueprints you are interested in - for example, in weapon stores you can buy blueprints for new weapons.

The problem of opening new blueprints is unusual in the case of  iconic items  (for example, iconic weapons - example in the picture). When you receive this type of item, the blueprints associated with it are automatically obtained. It is assumed that in this case you will be able to further upgrade this item using schemes so that it does not become of little value or simply useless over time (for example, due to low DPS or poor armor).

Of course, getting a new blueprint isn't the only requirement  for crafting an item. You also need to take care of two other things:

  1. Crafting ingredients  - the less often the item you want to craft, the more materials you need to prepare, including more rare types. You can find ingredients in the game world, buy or obtain by dismantling items.
  2. Skills for creating more rare items - in particular, these are perks from the crafting tree. The True Master perk allows you to create rare items (Rare), the Epic Workshop perk ("Fat Monkey") - for the production of epic items ("Epic") and the Master over the master ("Master Master") perk for the production of legendary items.
