Fixed bug in the game Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War "Voice chat paused"

The game displays a Black Ops Cold War error message "Voice chat not available" and is difficult to remove. PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X gamers may be affected | S and Xbox One. It should appear when voice chat has been manually disabled, but sometimes it can appear for no reason. Here's how to fix it.

To clear the 'Voice Chat Suspended' error message in Black Ops Cold Wat, players need to do the following:

  • Go to settings.
  • Select the Audio tab.
  • Disable and re-enable voice chat.

This will make the ugly red text “Voice chat paused” disappear from the top left corner of your TV or monitor. It Will Work On PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X | S and Xbox One.

Presumably the reason for the error is to help clarify why players cannot hear others. Not being able to hear both teammates and enemies can lead to a serious flaw in team play, so it's probably a good thing developer Treyarch thought about it.

Note: This voice chat feature only controls what is communicated via multiplayer and zombies. The controls for Warzone are completely separate. Any customization changes made in Black Ops Cold War will not carry over to Warzone.
