Graphics settings, how to increase FPS on PC in Cyberpunk 2077?

Below are some tips for improving the performance of Cyberpunk 2077 on a personal computer. If you are having fluidity and FPS issues and the game is lagging, these tips will help you increase your FPS.

We have divided the page into sections - follow the instructions in the order shown.

Video card drivers

Many people will find this section of tips clear and logical, but we need to include some driver information here. Only downloading the latest version of the GPU software is the basis for further action, because in many cases this leads to a significant increase in FPS.

  • Nvidia graphics drivers.
  • AMD Graphics Drivers.

For Nvidia card users, we recommend using GeForce Experience, which makes it much easier to download and install the latest drivers.

Now go to the Xbox Game Bar tab on the left side and disable this feature.

System settings

Before starting the game, it is worth doing a few additional steps in the system itself. First, turn off the game mode. To do this, press the Windows button on your keyboard and start typing "Game Bar Settings" . Go to the "Game Mode" option and in the new window make sure this feature is disabled.

The next step is to enable GPU acceleration. In the system search engine, enter "Graphics Settings" and in the new window enable GPU hardware acceleration. You must restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

Gameplay tab

  • Crowd Density - Affects the number of NPCs, so reduce it if you're having framerate issues.
  • Slow disk mode - allows you to improve the quality of the game installed on the HDD. This is not required for SSDs.
  • Third person height is low. Reduces the number of simultaneously loaded textures.

Graphics tab

If Cyberpunk 2077 runs very badly on your PC, just downgrade and disable whatever you can here with two exceptions:

  • Motion Blur - we recommend setting the value to Low, as this visually improves the smoothness of the game even at low FPS.
  • Field of View - Lowering this setting can significantly increase the FPS, but you will also see less.
  • Texture Quality - Reducing it guarantees a significant improvement, especially on weaker graphics cards. All options related to shadows.
  • Anisotropic Filtering - Disabled.
  • DLSS - If this option is available on your graphics card, be sure to use it. Works for RTX only.

Video tab

  • Vertical sync - if you disable this option, you will get a lot of FPS, but the image will be ugly "torn"
  • Max FPS - set the desired number (for example, 60 if you don't want more than 60 FPS).
  • Resolution - set native for your monitor. You can lower it to get better performance, but the picture will be much worse.

NVIDIA Control Panel

Right-click an empty space on your desktop and select the NVIDIA Control Panel tab . Here, under 3D Settings, go to the Adjust Preview Image Settings tab. Check the box next to Custom Settings with a Focus on Performance.

Next, go to the "Manage 3D Settings" tab . At the top, click on "Program settings" and select the game Cyberpunk 2077. In the window that appears, turn off all settings (example in the picture below). Then click "Apply".
