How to beat all bosses in Cyberpunk 2077

Tactics and strategy of confronting the storyline bosses of the game: how to defeat Adam Smasher, Oda and other elite opponents

As you progress through the storyline of Cyberpunk 2077 , you will encounter several bosses. In this guide, we describe the strategy for fighting each of them. Note that in fact there are even more bosses in the game: you will fight with some especially dangerous opponents when completing side quests. It is important to note that certain battles can be avoided altogether. Most of the bosses are optional, and you generally don't lose anything if you don't fight them.

Almost all bosses in the game act identically. At first, the enemy uses melee attacks, and then, when his health drops, he begins to rely on firearms. However, most of the time bosses will try to fight in close combat. You can dodge their attacks by double-tapping A, S, D. Dodge left, right, or backward and then attack your opponent with ranged weapons. Repeat the process until the bitter end. If you cannot defeat the boss, remember that at any time you can lower the difficulty level by going to the pause menu.

How to beat Royce

How to beat Royce

If you decide to complete the optional task and meet with Meredith Stout, and then accept the chip with the money from her, you can transfer it to Maelstorm's gang. Regardless of your actions, Royce will run out from behind the curtains, start yelling, cursing, and then attack V at all. You will have to fight him - now or a little later, when leaving the factory. However, there are several alternatives to avoid the battle. If you decide to pay Maelstorm's gang for the bot, you can avoid the fight. If you go to Maelstorm without Meredith Stout's money card or simply decide not to give the money away, ask Royce if he thinks you will pay twice. Ask for a discount, then get your weapon.

If you fight Royce, he will hide under a shield and launch rockets at you. Attack the enemy to destroy his shield. Dodge rockets or hide behind equipment and other objects. The boss has a weak spot (orange) on the lower back. Aim at it from cover. You need to go around the enemy, attack from behind, and then retreat and repeat the actions. This is the safest option. Shotguns are a good option.

How to beat Woodman

How to beat Woodman

Oswal Forest (aka Woodman) is the boss whom you will interrogate for one of the story missions. If you don't pay him for information and communicate aggressively, then the battle will begin. If you pay, the battle will not take place.

At first, Woodman will try to deal damage with melee attacks. As soon as his health decreases, he will take out the gun. If you want to really quickly deal with Woodman, we recommend taking a katana in the restricted area leading to his office. Equip an item and hack your opponent into pieces. This is the easiest method! Alternatively, you can fight with your bare hands, but at higher difficulty levels, it will be difficult for Woodman to clean his face. With a katana, defeating him is much easier and faster.

How to beat Matilda Sasquatch

How to beat Matilda Sasquatch

Moving through the shopping center that the Animals occupied, you will automatically reach the place of the battle with the gang boss, Matilda Rose (Sasquatch).

Matilda is a pumped-up woman who uses only melee attacks. She is slow, so it is quite easy to dodge her attacks. The easiest way to defeat Sasquatch is to use firearms against her, while keeping as far as possible. Dodge all of her attacks. It is best to dodge to the side (double tap on A or D). There is a glowing battery on its back - this is the boss's weak spot. By dodging to the side, you can easily hit an unprotected device. Thanks to this battery, Matilda will be able to restore health points. This is your top priority. After just a few hits, the battery will explode, causing tremendous damage to the boss. In the future, Matilda will not be able to restore health points. Sasquatch will stop after each heavy attack. This is your chance to strike back. The rest of the fight is pretty simple: dodge and shoot in the head. The best solution would be to use an automatic weapon or a shotgun. At some point, Sasquatch may pin you to the floor. Continue to attack her so that she will release V.

How to defeat Akira

During Johnny Silverhand's flashback, you will meet Akira, who will fight alongside common enemies. In fact, the enemy does not pose any threat. Killing him is quite simple and quick, and your teammates will help you. Kill normal opponents first and then focus on Akira. He uses a rifle, but if you get close, he will fight in hand-to-hand combat. Chances are, you won't even notice that you were fighting against the boss.

How to defeat Placide

How to defeat Placide

When you wake up in the Voodoo hideout, Placide will be waiting at the exit. If you act aggressively, then you will have to fight with him. In battle, the enemy uses a shotgun, but I can't call him a full-fledged boss.

How to defeat Oda, the bodyguard of Hanako Arasaki

How to defeat Oda, the bodyguard of Hanako Arasaki

The battle against Oda will start automatically as soon as you try to pull the cable out of the netrunner's head at the parade in memory of Saburo Arasaki.

This is a versatile boss with a wide variety of techniques. At the beginning of the battle, the enemy will attack you with twin blades. Dodge blows or walk away by double-clicking on A or D. If you don't need to dodge, grab a firearm and shoot at the enemy. The best option would be to use a revolver and shoot in the head. Fully automatic weapons work well as well, but can run out of ammo relatively quickly. Shotguns do decent damage, but their long reload time will benefit Oda.

Try to equip weapons with different ammunition in the weapon slots. For example, a revolver, an automatic rifle, and a sniper rifle. Thus, you will not face the problem of lack of ammunition. Don't let Oda corner you. When he jumps into the air and strikes melee, be sure to dodge as the damage will be great.

After the first attack wave, he will begin alternating melee attacks using submachine guns with homing bullets. When he does this, take cover quickly! He will also start jumping over containers and climbing higher areas of the room. From there, the enemy will shoot exclusively homing bullets. He takes short breaks between firing weapons, which is a great opportunity for headshots with a sniper rifle. As soon as he starts shooting, run for cover. Repeat the steps.

When Oda's health is significantly reduced, he activates disguise and "disappears" from the radar. You will see how his health bar gradually replenishes. Run around all the containers in a circle to find the boss as soon as possible. He will always hide in one of the containers without going upstairs. You will see a blue outline from Oda's cloak. Shoot him to get out of invisibility and stop healing. I think it's not worth repeating once again how important it is to find Oda, who is hiding and restoring HP as soon as possible. His health decreases slowly, but he restores it quickly. If your health decreases to critical indicators, continue to run away from the enemy through containers and use stimulants to heal (key X). As long as you have stimulants and ammo, Oda shouldn't be a problem. Therefore, before the battle, stock up on ammunition and medicines. Try not to spend them on common enemies.

How to beat Adam Smasher

How to beat Adam Smasher

This is a must-see battle with the most serious opponent in the game. In battle, I recommend using a revolver, an assault rifle, and a sniper rifle. Or another weapon, but so that different ammunition is used in all three slots. Initially, Adam Smasher will use melee attacks. Shoot his right hand (if you look at Smasher, we are talking about the left hand). As soon as he loses his right arm, he will take huge damage, and will stop fighting in melee.

After that, Adam will start using the rocket launchers located on the shoulder. If you see flying rockets, in no case stop and do not linger in shelters. The best defense is constant movement. It is quite easy to dodge missiles. Shoot Smasher in the head with a sniper rifle between rocket shots. You can also use an automatic machine. Smaller opponents will appear periodically. Ninja are easy to kill with 1-2 frag grenades (they can dodge bullets, so grenades are the best solution). Stay as far away from Smasher as possible.

Focus on small opponents, and then aim at Adam. He has quite a lot of health points, but once you destroy his right hand, Adam Smasher seems like some kind of easy opponent. You can shoot the rocket launcher on his back to disable it too. If you run out of ammo, you can then attack him with a katana or other melee weapon.
