Official: Cyberpunk 2077 will still receive a giant update, but not a day one patch

Before the start Cyberpunk 2077 is only a few days away, and more and more information about some features of the project appears on the network. For example, recently it became known that the game from CD Projekt RED will still receive a giant patch.

Several unrelated sources pointed out the presence of the patch. In particular, the following screenshot surfaced on the Twitter microblogging network - if you believe the image, the size of the stock version of Cyberpunk 2077 will increase by at least 43.5 GB.

In an interview with reporters, CDPR PR manager Fabian Mario Dohla confirmed that such a patch does exist. Only this is not a mythical first day update.

It's an update, but - funny twist - not something we're preparing for launch.

Most likely, this update will be automatically installed on people who put Cyberpunk 2077 on preload. In turn, from the words of the CDPR manager it follows that on the day of release, gamers will have to download another patch - its weight has not been specified.

Earlier CD Projekt RED argued that gamers will not have to install a giant patch, whose release is timed to the start of the game. At the time of this writing, the update is expected to be 50 GB in size.
