Fallout: New Vegas 2 is rumored to be in development

When it was first announced that Microsoft had bought Bethesda , most RPG fans had one thought - when will Fallout : New Vegas 2 be released? Let's say right away that nothing was officially announced, but the developers of Fallout: New Vegas - Bethesda and Obsidian Entertainment, are now under the same corporate umbrella. Could something happen now? Well ... It looks like it can.

Fallout: New Vegas 2 is indeed in development, according to insider Tyler McVeeker , who has leaked accurate information about the work inside Valve for years. That juicy rumor was voiced in the video (below) announcing McVicker's rebranded YouTube channel. In it, he reveals information on a number of topics including Switch Pro, Mario & Zelda Anniversaries, Back 4 Blood, Obsidian's new Avowed RPG, and more.

When will Fallout: New Vegas 2 be released? Following the posting of the video, McVicker took to his Twitter to share what he believes will be the timeline for Bethesda's upcoming RPGs. If all this turns out to be true, then you will have to be patient, since you will not be able to get back to New Vegas until 2025.

I expect FNV2 in the second half of this decade. I'm expecting TES6 in 2026-7. I am expecting something close to Fallout 5 in the 2030s. Now Starfield is next in line, but we need to wait another year or two before release.

Recall that this is just a rumor so far, so treat this information with a grain of salt. While it certainly makes sense for Microsoft to bring Bethesda and Obsidian together for Fallout: New Vegas 2 to work, especially given the mixed reactions to both Fallout 4 and Fallout 76. FNV2 could just get the series back on track.
