Monster Hunter Rise: Disable the demo quest limit - how it works

A free demo has been published for Monster Hunter Rise, but it has one major catch: You are only allowed to complete a total of 30 quests. However, there is a simple trick to overcome this limit.

You can download the demo for Monster Hunter Rise free of charge from the Nintendo eShop until February 1, 2021. This offers on the one hand two tutorials that familiarize you with the new features of the game and on the other hand two quests in which you can put your skills to the test against the monsters Great Izuchi and Mizutsune.

When you start the demo for the first time, however, you will immediately be confronted with a downer. You can only start 30 quests in total before the demo ends. The bottom line is that you can try both quests once with all 14 weapons and then have to wait for the full version to be released on March 26, 2021.

So you can deactivate the quest limit of the demo

Fortunately, this limit can be reset with a simple trick. To do this, navigate to the system settings of your switch and click through the following submenus:

  1. Data management
  2. Delete saved data
  4. Delete saved data for: Username
  5. Delete saved data

As soon as you have confirmed the red button, it is as if you have just downloaded the demo. This means that all settings are lost, such as the language or the reassignment of the control. However, this also resets the quest limit and you can complete 30 quests again. This process can be repeated as often as required.

Please note, however, that the multiplayer mode of the demo will most likely be deactivated after February 1, 2021. From this date onwards, only local games are possible, no matter how often you delete your saved data.
