During the Johto event in Pokémon GO you have to catch a color eagle for the collector's challenge. We'll show you how it works in 2021.
This is the task at hand: The Johto event has started in Pokémon GO and a new collector's challenge is available. There you have to get hold of a color eagle, among other things.
Color agels do not exist in the wild, however, and only in a special way. We'll show you how to catch color eagles in 2021.
Catch color agels thanks to a snapshot - that's how it works
There are color eagles here: The Pokémon is only available through the snapshot function of Pokémon GO. So you have to take a picture of a Pokémon. If you are lucky, a color eagle will jump into the picture. When the color eagle is in the picture, you can close the camera and the monster should appear next to your avatar ready to catch.
So far there is no other way to get a Color Eagle. So you won't find it in the wild or in quests.
You have to keep this in mind: Color eagles only appear in the first photo you take. If you photograph a monster and Color Agle doesn't jump into the picture, it won't jump into the picture in the subsequent pictures either.
So if you really want a color eagle, you should change your Pokémon after each photo and photograph a different monster.
By the way: Color Eagle appears only once a day and can escape. So you should be careful when catching. If it escapes, you won't be able to try your luck until the next day.
Should you get Farbeagle now? Only if you catch paint eagles can you complete the collectors challenge. So if you want to complete this task, you should get Farbeagle.
