The problem is that we must emphasize the word "find", because this machine cannot be manufactured (as it happens with ovens or workbenches).
If we are lucky enough to come across a recycler or have gone in search of one, then recycling our objects is as easy as approaching the machine to interact with it. The following characteristics must be taken into account:
- In the recycler, elements and components can be decomposed into their raw materials.
- This means that if, for example, we recycle a gear, we will receive scrap metal and metal fragments in return (because they are the resources that the gear is made of).
- Approximately the recycler delivers 50% of the resources used in the manufacture of the component (but for this to happen, the recycled items must not have a durability lower than 100% , otherwise they will produce less recycled quantities ).
- The machine has 6 input and 6 output slots.
- Only one player at a time can use the recycler.
Basically the recycler is a good way to obtain some raw materials that we need quickly , getting rid of other components that we do not need or that we have left over (as a general rule, players use them to obtain a lot of scrap, high quality metals , cloth or metal fragments).

The recycling machines in Rust can be found in most monuments , these are the places with names on the map (especially in warehouses, factories and supermarkets).

Oxums Gas Station (Gasolinera Oxums)
- Where is the recycler located ?: It is inside the side garage of the gas station.
Supermarket
- Where is the recycler located ?: It is located at the rear of the building, outside.
Water Treatment Plant
- Where is the recycler located ?: In one of the largest buildings, the recycler is climbing two stairs.
Trainyard (Train station)
- Where is the recycler located ?: there is a small booth or building next to the train tracks, to find the recycler go up the stairs from the outside and enter through the door on the upper floor. The machine is in a room with a smashed floor.
Junkyard (Scrapping)
- Where is the recycler located ?: Next to the scrapyard crane you will find a long rusty walkway and at the end of it the recycler.
Powerplant
- Where is the recycler located ?: enter one of the largest buildings in the plant, in the center of the place, go up two floors up the stairs and you will find the machine opening a red door that leads to a small room.
Satellite
- Where is the recycler located ?: go up one of the two abandoned satellites and in the central walkway you will find an opening with the machine inside.
Launch Site
- Where is the recycler located ?: to the left of the large central building you will find another building outside with the recycler under a kind of cover.
Lighthouse
- Where is the recycler located ?: Enter the lighthouse building from the bottom and go up some destroyed beams to the upper floor that has the smashed floor. The recycler is out there (you have to do a bit of parkour to get there).
Mining Outpost
- Where is the recycler located? It is simply inside the small building / warehouse in the area, it does not have much loss.
Airfield (Aerodrome)
- Where is the recycler located ?: there are two recyclers in this place, one of them is inside a hangar behind some large boxes, and the other is inside the garage of a building.
Military Tunnels
- Where is the recycler located ?: the machine is inside a small rusty metal shed outside, going up the hill to the right of the tunnel entrance.
Nuclear Plant
- Where is the recycler located ?: The recycler is passing through a garage door in one of the small buildings there.

- Where is the recycler located ?: there is a recycler in each of the ports, in one of them it is behind the first large building on the left, and in the other it is between the cranes.
The Outpost
- Where is the recycler ?: Enter the side where the watchtower is and you will see the recycler next to a demolished building that has a "repairs" sign.
