Weak PC is not a sentence! Here is a selection of the best shooters for any hardware that have cooperative gameplay.
Over the past 20 years, a huge number of video games have come out, including dozens of cool shooters. Thanks to so many possible options, you can find an exciting project for any topic, age and religion, but most importantly, that for any hardware.
Borderlands 2
- Release date: September 21, 2012
- Platforms: PC, PS4, PS3, X360, PS Vita
- Co-op for: 4
Probably one of the best looter shooters to date, featuring a co-op mode. In addition, the second part, which turned out to be not too demanding on the hardware, as for me, is still the best in the series. If you are not familiar with the Borderlands series at all , then your legacy hardware is guaranteed to give you the opportunity to get acquainted with the first two parts. Well, if you like it, then try to find a way to play something in the third, but I think you can do without it.
The gameplay here is borrowed from classic first-person shooters, while the game has RPG elements that make it incredibly addictive. In addition to continuous shooting, you will have to complete various tasks, collect loot, pump the main character and do a lot of other interesting things. Also, I would like to note the amazing picture in the style of comics and just a crazy plot. You can immerse yourself in the world of Borderlands 2 with friends in cooperative mode for up to 4 people, the whole game can be played together, and this is exactly the activity that will “devour” tens of hours of your life.
Bulletstorm
- Release date: February 25, 2011
- Platforms: PC, PS3, X360
- Co-op for: 4
People Can Fly's hurricane shooter Bulletstorm is exactly what lovers of meat and good humor need. The developers have done everything possible to turn an ordinary FPS into a carbon monoxide shooter that you can stick to for days on end. And most importantly, what they did. Proof of that is the sale of the reissue that came out in 2017. People want to see more games like this, and I'm pretty sure those on weaker PCs will love Bulletstorm .
The main feature of the game is that there are tons of ways to kill opponents. And almost every one of them is as sadistic as possible. The more imagination you use in the process, the more points you get. Well, then for them you can buy all sorts of improvements for weapons and additional gadgets. You will also love the plot, which is not as trivial as in most FPS and, of course, the co-op mode. You can play Bulletstorm in a company of 4 people. In Anarchy mode, you can fight off waves of enemies together, and the competitive Dead Echo mode quickly turns classic shots into a competition for the “most brutal kill”. Isn't that what owners of weak PCs want?
Left 4 Dead 2
- Release date: November 17, 2009
- Platforms: PC, X360
- Co-op for: 4
At one time, Left 4 Dead 2 was mega-popular among fans of shooters and themed zombie apocalypse . The fact is that back in 2009, few people exploited the setting with the living dead at all, and that is why the project looked fresh. In addition, this is also one of the first "sane" games with a full-fledged co-op, where it is really in place and makes it possible to enjoy the gameplay, and not just screwed up for show.
Gameplay Left 4 Dead 2as simple as possible. There is a group of 4 survivors, which starts at point "A", and its main goal is to get to point "B", preferably in full force. Naturally, along the way, the brave team will be hindered by angry zombies, who, unlike many similar games, are truly wild and are ready to tear a person apart in a matter of minutes. The project attracts with high dynamics, the opportunity to play with friends and variety. Now in Left 4 Dead 2 is the whole content of the first part, as well as a bunch of additional maps and other nishtyakov. If your old piece of iron can handle this game normally, then the question of what to do on cold winter evenings will definitely disappear.
- Processor: Intel Pentium 4 3 GHz
- Video card: ATI Radeon X800 / NVIDIA GeForce 6600 with 128 MB of memory
- RAM: 2 GB
- Free space: 13 GB
Team Fortress 2
- Release date: October 10, 2007
- Platforms: PC, PS3, X360
- Co-op for: 6
Whatever one may say, but the owners of weak PCs have to be content with old games. That said, Team Fortress 2 is a case where the game is over 13 years old, but still relevant and can add up to dozens of hours of fun. The fact is that here you have a choice between 9 characters, each of which has its own unique abilities. That is, in fact, this shooter offers 9 different gameplay options, and finding a style for yourself will not be difficult.
It's also worth noting that Team Fortress 2has become very popular due to hats that can be attached to characters, and other nishtyaks for character customization. Making a unique fighter who will definitely be visible on the battlefield is not a problem at all. And if you get tired of playing the multiplayer mode alone, then try the co-op for 6 people and see Team Fortress 2 from a completely new angle.
- Processor: 1.7 GHz
- Video card: Nvidia GeForce FX 5500 / ATI Radeon 9500 with 128 MB VRAM
- RAM: 1 GB

Kane and lynch 2
- Release date: August 11, 2010
- Platforms: PC, PS3, X360
- Co-op for: 2
This exciting action movie is literally made to be played with your friend. The story of two reckless thugs can be dragging on in earnest and will give a lot of positive emotions. And despite the fact that the project is over 10 years old, there are still quite vigorous skirmishes here, there are interesting mechanics for co-op and nice graphic design. Of course, there were those who didn't really like the sequel, but mainly because of the plot. Nevertheless, I believe that this subjective opinion and setting of Kane and Lynch 2, along with its history, is more an amateur than a bad decision.
If you don't like the plot of Kane and Lynch 2then I highly recommend trying the first part. Perhaps starting with her will immerse you in the atmosphere of this franchise and can truly love her. Moreover, the first part is even less demanding on system parameters, but despite this it is still just as dynamic and exciting.
- Processor: Intel 3.0 GHz or AMD 2.5 GHz
- Video card: Nvidia 7800 / ATI X1800 with 512 MB VRAM
- RAM: 2 GB

Lost Planet 2
- Release date: May 11, 2010
- Platforms: PC, PS3, X360
- Co-op for: 2
Once upon a time, a third-person shooter series called Lost Planet was one of the best in the genre. Unfortunately, the third part turned out to be simply no, and then the developers decided to curtail the development of sequels and the development of this interesting universe altogether. Nevertheless, they still managed to please fans with Lost Planet 2 , which was good in every aspect. Here you have a fascinating plot, and dynamic shootings, and many types of enemies, and simply stunning locations with completely different designs. Along with this, the project also offered a cooperative mode, which was worked out to the smallest detail. Before you is a game that seems to be created for joint passage, because if you play it alone, then the sensations will be completely different.
Lost Planet 2- the only part of the series with a cooperative for two and, perhaps, this is one of its main advantages. It is also worth noting that despite the fact that the game is almost 11 years old, it looks quite competitive against the background of modern third-person shooters. Oh yes, there are also quite loyal system requirements in relation to your computer, so everyone can run it and drive alien insects with a friend.
- Release date: November 22, 2011
- Platforms: PC, PS3, X360
- Co-op for: 16
Definitely deserves the attention of fans of bloody first-person shooters with a cooperative mode. The fact is that it was in this part of the series that the developers made a joint game for as many as 16 people! With such a huge bunch of shooters, you can go through the Serious Sam 3 campaign and shoot thousands of monsters who decided to seize our mother Earth. A lot of fun, blood and action is guaranteed to you! And most importantly, the game is undemanding and will definitely run on a weak computer.
Of the features of the project, I would note new techniques for close combat, which were not in the previous parts, if you suddenly played them. In addition, the style has changed markedly, and the events of Serious Sam 3will take you and your company to the passage of the story in the Egyptian deserts of the 22nd century. If you like a similar setting, brisk shooting and nothing else to play on a weak PC, then you should definitely pay attention to Serious Sam 3 .
- Release date: November 10, 2009
- Platforms: PC, PS3, X360
- Co-op for: 2
Surely some were surprised to see one of the Call of Duty parts in this collection , but once the developers experimented with the franchise much more often and even gave us the opportunity to play in a full-fledged cooperative mode. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is just such a case and at the same time it is completely undemanding to the hardware. Going through dozens of special operations together is not a problem here at all. I'm sure you'll love it, because MW2 is one of the last installments where the creators still tried to make a cool storyline.
As for the passage for two, here is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2has some interesting mechanics to offer, not blunt two-barrel NPC shooting. What is the mission worth, where one player needs to make his way to the specified point on the ground, and the second, in parallel, cover him from the sky. There are a lot of such examples here, so the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 co-op deservedly hits the top, and you simply have to try it on your old hardware.
- Processor: Intel Pentium 4 3.2 GHz or AMD Athlon 64 3200+
- Video card: NVIDIA GeForce 6600GT or ATI Radeon 1600XT with 256 MB of video memory
- RAM: 1 GB
- Free space: 12 GB
Far cry 3
- Release date: November 29, 2012
- Platforms: PC, PS3, X360
- Co-op for: 4
When it comes to Far Cry 3, I'm leaning towards the opinion of most fans of the series that this is the best part of the series. The sequels also turned out to be quite playable, but the stunning atmosphere of a tropical island and the charismatic main villain will remain in my memory for the rest of my life. This is the case when the owners of weak PCs are really lucky, because Far Cry 3 will run on their hardware without too many problems.
First of all, I recommend that you go through the storyline campaign alone and enjoy an unusual story, where many unexpected twists will await you. Once you complete the solo race with the inimitable Vaasa, head straight into co-op mode. Here you can arrange shootouts on a tropical island in a team of up to 4 people, this is another opportunity to spend in Far Cry 3several tens of hours. And if you've never played it, then it's time to fix this terrible mistake.
- Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 2.6 GHz
- Video card: with 512 MB of video memory, with support for DirectX 9.0c
- RAM: 2 GB
- Free space: 15 GB
PayDay 2
- Release date: August 13, 2013
- Platforms: PC, PS3, X360
- Co-op for: 4
Well, I would like to finish our selection with an amazing robbery simulator, which is also an excellent shooter. Yes, yes, before the release of GTA 5, all fans of bank robbery drove it to PayDay 2 . Yes, even after the release of the Rockstar masterpiece, this game is still good online and fans of the series are happy to play it. In many respects, this is, of course, the merit of the developers who made PayDay 2 completely undemanding to the hardware, respectively, for owners of weak PCs, this is one of the best options.
In addition to shootouts at different locations, PayDay 2you are also waiting for the phased planning of the robbery. And you will have to think about every little thing and stupidly break into the building and demolish the heads of the guards with a machine-gun burst. You can, of course, do this, but in this case, expect that one of the bank employees or hostages will immediately call the cops and you will not be well.
In general, PayDay 2 was created for fans of gangster romance and large-scale robberies, and there is also a cooperative for 4, where you can steal money together with your comrades. Owners of weak hardware should appreciate, most importantly, after that do not try to take a new PC out of the local electrical store.
- Processor: Intel Dual Core 2 GHz
- Video Card: Nvidia or AMD with 512 MB VRAM
- RAM: 4 GB
- Free space on HDD: 31 GB
With our pick of the best co-op shooters for weaker PCs, you'll definitely have something to play on almost any hardware. If you know any other cooperative shooters that will go on an old PC, then be sure to write about them in the comments.
