Resident Evil VII had a modest play length. On average, it took about 10 hours to play, assuming you didn't solve puzzles or fight bosses for too long. The upcoming Resident Evil Village is longer than its predecessor, according to Capcom's Peter Fabiano. The developer did not name the approximate time for the full completion of the game, but this is not the first time such information has been heard regarding Resident Evil: Village.
"I'll just say that this is much more than what the players experienced in Resident Evil VII: Biohazard," Fabiano said during an interview.
Back in the summer, the developers noted that RE: Village "will be the longest game on the RE Engine." It's worth noting that the RE Engine is used by projects like Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Devil May Cry 5.
The release of Resident Evil: Village on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X / S, Xbox One and PC is scheduled for May 7.
