The Research and records are a type of collectible available from Control . Throughout the different sectors of the Federal Control Agency, we can find these documents that provide details and context to many of the objects and stories in the game.

Research and records in the Executive Sector
These are the Research and Records collectibles found within the Executive Sector of the Agency:
# 01 - Agency Expenses
- Location: As soon as the game starts, go up the stairs after the metal detector arches and enter the room on the left; the record is on a shelf.
# 02 - Director Trench Photography
- Location - Automatically achieved as part of the story.
# 03 - Hiss Guard
- Location - Automatically achieved as part of the story.
# 04 - Urban Legends
- Location: It is right at the Central Executive entrance, from the Executive Affairs room. As you walk through the door that connects the two sections, go into the room on your right hand side to collect it from some filing cabinets.
# 05 - Checkpoints
- Location: Can be picked up inside the safe room where you first speak to Emily Pope, in Central Executive.
# 06 - Portrait of Director Zachariah Trench
- Location - Automatically achieved as part of the story.
# 07 - Technological restrictions
- Location: it is on the upper floor of the Central Executive area, you will find it in the first room on the left, coming from the entrance to the area that goes from the director's office (on a large wooden table).
# 08 - Hiss Barrier
- Location - Automatically achieved as part of the story.
# 09 - Hiss Demolition Expert
- Location - Automatically achieved as part of the story.
# 10 - Hiss Soldier
- Location - Automatically achieved as part of the story.
# 11 - Filtration
- Location: go to the control point of the communications department. Go up to the third floor and enter the room in which there are some large cubicles. The register is on one side of the room, on a printer.
