LEGENDS OF RUNETERRA: GUIDE TO THE BEST DECKS WITH LISSANDRA

The all-new Legends of Runeterra expansion is on the way. The empires of the Ascended , with the region of Shurima and more than a hundred collectible cards,  will be available as early as March 3, 2021 . The new pack of playable cards will be released together with  the patch notes 2.3 .

The guide on Jarvan IV is already available on our site as well as the one dedicated to Taliyah . Precisely in the article dedicated to the stone weaver we mentioned a visible synergy between her and Lissandra , a topic that will be explored in a few paragraphs.

STRENGTHS OF LISSANDRA

Versatility . Lissandra offers the player many possibilities and opens up to different scenarios, creates different types of win conditions and deckbuilding concepts. We could stop here and have already said a lot about what this champion can bring to Legends of Runeterra.

Level up condition only deceptively complex and ineluctability . Speech similar to what was said about Taliyah , the condition to level up is not as difficult to achieve as it may seem indeed it is deceptively simple. Once the flip has occurred, your opponent will have little left to do in most scenarios. Unstoppable.

The spell tied to the champion is splendid . Ok, we promised not to include issues related to the design on the inside of the strengths but the way in which the ultimate of Lissandra was transposed in a card game is really breathtaking .

The strengths may seem few but this is just an appetizer, you will perfectly understand the strength of the champion when we analyze the decks in which he could be the protagonist, in a few lines.

STRENGTHS OF LISSANDRA

CRITICAL ISSUES

Slow ? The question mark here is a must. We questioned ourselves, wondering if all this manifest strength can only be smoke in the eyes of a champion who actually struggles to turn and who often loses from aggressive decks. We also gave ourselves a negative answer. Lissandra does not seem to have any real problems, she is not limping at any stage of the game. We'll see if it remains so solid even in the real game and not just in the abstract world of therycrafting .

CRITICAL ISSUES

IN WHAT DECKS TO EXPLOIT IT

Synergy with Trundle . Working perfectly with a champion from your region is a great thing because it opens up to many scenarios, first of all that of being able to assemble the skeleton of a fully functional deck and then splashare inside any other color you prefer depending on the metagame and of the opponent you are going to face. The pillar of ice costs 8 mana and returns this investment to the user allowing Lissandra to level up, perhaps still in the deck in very low turns.

Synergy with the Shadow Isles . Lissandra wants to arrive late in the game to unleash her destructive power, the Shadow Isles allow her to do so. The ghostly matron can actually discount the Watcher by  allowing the game to end a few turns early . Even Lissandra 'spowerto take less damage to theuser's nexus has excellent synergy with heals and removals, lovers of aggro deckswill feel annoyed just by reading about these possibilities. The most talked about thing, however, is certainly the synergy between Revitalizing Roar and Ledroswhich certainly has little to do with the ice queen, however, having the observer as a target for Roar also adds texture that is often everything in a card game .

Synergy with Taliyah . Here you have fun, I let you imagine a very specific scenario, almost entirely made up of new cards and therefore also very fresh. The ideal opening in the first round is Frozen Slave, followed in the next round by some very strong Shurima plays such as Rock Leaping or other impact 2 drops. The third round will clearly be Lissandra who isn't super easy to remove so early in the game thanks to persistence . The dance continues in the fourth round when it will be possible to break one of the two monuments, the one furthest back in the countdown with the Desert Naturalist to put many statistics and two blockers on the pitch. In the sixth round it will be theInquisitor  to enter the field and from then on only rubble .
