Pokémon GO starts tomorrow Kanto Raid Day - this is how you use it properly

In Pokémon GO , Kanto Raid Day starts on Sunday, February 28th. Find out how you can get the most out of the event here.

When does the event start? Kanto Raid Day starts on Sunday, February 28th at 11:00 AM and runs until 2:00 PM.

It is, so to speak, the end point for the last Kanto events: The raid day follows the Kanto week , which ends on Saturday. In addition, the legendary season starts on Monday .

But now the focus is first on the raid day. And how you can best use it, let's take a closer look at it here.

These raids await you: During the three hours of the raid day, the legendary birds Arktos, Zapdos and Lavados appear in the raids of level 5. The dazzling version will also be available - so the period could be interesting again for shiny hunters. In general, however, they belong to the list of strong attackers in Pokémon GO - especially molasses.

In the past, raid days always brought a three-hour raid on each arena. A similar concept would also be conceivable for the upcoming raid day.

The right counterattacks against Arktos, Zapdos, Lavados on Kanto Raid day

How to defeat the monsters: In order to fight the birds effectively, you should use the right counterattacks. You can do it with three people, but it's better with 4 to 5 players.

Lavados is a really good attacker

This is how you beat Moltras: The best counterattacks against Moltras are primarily rock combinations such as:

  • Rameidon with catapult and hail of stones
  • Rihornior with catapult and rock thrower
  • Terracium with catapult and hail of stones
  • Despotar with catapult and hail of stones
  • Brockoloss with catapult and hail of stones
  • Aerodactyl with stone throw and hail of stones
  • Demeteros with a stone throw and a hail of stones
  • Amoroso with a stone throw and a hail of stones
  • Geowaz with stone throw and stone edge
  • Aeropteryx with flapping wings and antique power

However, you can also add water and electric monsters to the Pokémon. In addition, the crypto forms of some monsters can cause a lot of damage if you own them. This applies, for example, to Crypto Despotar. Mega developments like Ampharos or Turtok are also effective.

Zapdos also has problems with ice cream

How to beat Zapdos: You should also use rock against Zapdos, but ice is also effective.

Uses for example:

  • Rameidon with catapult and hail of stones
  • Rihornior with catapult and rock thrower
  • Terracium with catapult and hail of stones
  • Mamutel with powder snow and avalanche
  • Galar-Flampivian with ice tooth and avalanche
  • Despotar with catapult and stone edge
  • Glaziola with ice breath and avalanche
  • Demeteros with a stone throw and a hail of stones
  • Mewtwo with confusion and ice ray
  • Snibunna with ice splinters and avalanche

Here, too, crypto monsters such as Mamutel, Despotar or Mewtwo can work particularly well. Mega-Rexblisar is also a strong counterattack.

Rameidon is also worthwhile against Arktos, for example

This is how you beat Arktos: Against Arktos you can also get far with rock, but you can also use fire, electrics or steel.

There are the best counterattacks:

  • Rameidon with catapult and hail of stones
  • Rihornior with catapult and rock thrower
  • Terracium with catapult and hail of stones
  • Despotar with catapult and stone edge
  • Brockoloss with catapult and hail of stones
  • Amoroso with a stone throw and a hail of stones
  • Flampivian with fiery tooth and hail of stones
  • Alola-Geowaz with stone throw and stone edge
  • Stalobor with metal claw and hail of stones
  • Reshiram with fiery tooth and stone edge

Crypto monsters like Despotar, Amoroso or Metagross are also effective.

In short: If you go on raid hunt, you should simply put together a really strong rock team - then you are well equipped against all birds.

Free raid passes for raid day

How to get raid passes: So that you can properly complete raids, there are up to 5 free raid passes during the event. You can get them by spinning Arena and PokéStop discs.

You can also get a box with 3 remote raid passes in the shop between Saturday, February 27th at 10:00 p.m. and Monday, March 1st at 10:00 p.m.

Beat Team Rocket and unlearn frustration

Beat Team Rocket and unlearn frustration

What is Team Rocket up to? During the event, Team Rocket will also do the honors again. Even Boss Giovanni is back - there will be a new Rocket special research, at the end of which you can save a new legendary Crypto-Pokémon.

So it is unlikely to be Crypto-Mewtwo that you could already get. Giovanni's team will probably change with it. The best counterattacks against Giovanni could only be partially effective - depending on which monster awaits us on Sunday.

The rocket bosses must also be fought

Defeat bosses: Before you get to Giovanni, you will probably have to defeat the rocket bosses Sierra, Arlo and Cliff again to put together the super rocket radar.

What about frustration? The problem with Crypto-Pokémon is that they usually only have the "Frustration" attack and are not particularly useful. But during the event you can use charging TMs to teach your Crypto-Pokémon another charging attack. Since Cryptos have an attack bonus compared to normal monsters, it can be worth it.
