Cyberpunk 2077 loses one of its top designers, leaving CD Projekt Red after eight years

CD Projekt Red loses one of the main managers of Cyberpunk 2077. The chief gameplay designer leaves the Polish studio after almost eight years.

Cyberpunk 2077 was intended to change the concept of open world games, but its launch and a series of decisions have weighed heavily on CD Projekt Red's game. The company is currently working on more patches to correct some bugs.

However, one of the main designers of Cyberpunk 2077  has just announced his departure from the studio . Through a recently posted tweet, Andrzej Zawadzki, Lead Gameplay Designer, has announced his departure from CD Projekt Red.

Zawadzki has invested almost eight years of work within the studio . My time at CDPR has come to an end. It is time for the new adventure. To all the people I've met along the way, thank you. It was an honor and a pleasure, he communicated in a small statement.

The developer started at the company as a quality control tester. Later and eventually he would work on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and its two famous expansions, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine.

In 2016, he became a junior game designer for Cyberpunk 2077 and increased his responsibilities in March 2020 when he assumed the role of leader of this section. Now he will face a new adventure, although no data has been provided on what project he is involved in.
