How to kill Gauss in Outriders. Boss rewards

How to kill Gauss in Outriders. Boss rewards

In a recent demo The Outriders have some pretty tricky boss fights. Gauss is the first person you will encounter during your playthrough. His electrical powers can be a problem, so in this guide we'll show you how to defeat him.

Start the mission "Reunion". It will become available immediately after saving Yakub. Your goal will be to make your way to the huge tower, destroying many enemies along the way.

It is in the tower that you will meet face to face with the first main boss in Outriders - Gauss. Gauss is as Altered as you are, which means he has supernatural powers. All of his attacks are related to electricity.

How to defeat Gauss

One of the most important things to know when fighting any boss in Outriders is that you can and should interrupt their actions. Gauss is no exception. Whenever bosses are preparing powerful attacks, they can be interrupted.

When the orange bar above Gauss's head begins to fill up, it's a signal to interrupt him with your attack.

One of his most dangerous abilities, Lightning Storm, takes enough time to charge. By interrupting such an attack, you will greatly facilitate the fight.

Each base character class in the game has a number of supernatural abilities. Do not try to interrupt the boss's attacks with ordinary weapons - this will not help, use skills (for example, "earthquake" at the destroyer).

When you are not interfering with the boss, shoot him from a safe distance. Gauss has a cannon that fires lightning, dealing serious damage at close range. He will teleport from time to time to run away from you or get closer, but this shouldn't be a problem as long as you constantly move and hide behind cover.

He also sets up electrical traps on the ground and throws slowly floating balls of lightning. These attacks must be avoided by constantly moving around the arena. Try to get closer to Gauss so as not to miss your abilities and inflict maximum damage.

When the enemy has about half of his health left, he uses a new defense ability, hiding behind iron sheets from your attacks. The sheets rotate in a circle, so it won't be easy to hit the same one. Before attacking Gauss again, you must destroy at least one steel sheet, otherwise the boss will not take damage.

That's all you need to know about how to defeat Gauss. He is a tough boss, but if you can keep your distance and interrupt his powerful attacks, he will be much faster and easier to deal with. There will be no trophies or achievements in the available demo, but your rewards will be transferred to the full version of the game with your progress.
