Resident Evil 7 and 8 are coming to Google Stadia, and there will be a new RE Showcase in April

In April there will be a new Resident Evil Showcase, a presentation with news about the future of the saga: RE Village, RE Verse ... and beyond? Maybe we will see the trailer for the movie?

Today is Resident Evil day , because it turns 25 . On March 22, 1996, one of the most successful series in the history of videogames began on PlayStation, present on practically all platforms that have existed since then, and also in many "mutations" (although some liked more than others ...).

Now, the series is topical because very soon, on May 7, the eighth installment, Resident Evil Village , will be released, of which many details were revealed yesterday . In addition, RE: Verse , the multiplayer arcade that will be included in Village, confirms an open beta between April 8 and 11.

In April (although we still do not know what day) a second Resident Evil Showcase will take place , a digital presentation in which they will talk about news related to the saga. The previous one, in January , revealed RE: Verse, in addition to immediately releasing the first demo of Village, exclusive to PS5. We know there is another RE 8 demo on the way, and with the release being the first week of March, we should expect it in April.

It is not the only news: the arrival of Resident Evil 7 Biohazard  Gold Edition to Google Stadia is also confirmed . Starting April 1, you can play it with your Stadia Pro subscription, or buy it separately. In addition, Resident Evil 8 Village will also be released on Stadia, and it will do so on the same day as the other platforms, on May 7.

What other news do you think we will have at the Resident Evil presentation in April? Although we know that there are more games in the series in development (a remake of Resident Evil 4 and closer, a Revelation 3 designed for Nintendo Switch ), the most likely thing is that we know something more about the Resident Evil movie: Welcome to Raccoon City , the reboot in theaters that has a very interesting cast, and is scheduled to hit theaters in September 2021.
