Scarecrow may have acquired new powers in the Batman comics

ATTENTION: This article includes spoilers for Batman # 106. The Scarecrow could be about to reveal a terrifying new power in the Batman comics.

Despite the fact that the Joker is the quintessential Batman villain, the Dark Knight has an extensive list of enemies willing to stand up to him for the soul of Gotham when the Joker is behind bars or simply scheming. Dr Crane, or simply the Scarecrow is one of the recurring villains of the Dark Knight and one of the scariest enemies of Batman, never better, since fear is their weapon.

The Scarecrow's fear gas has traditionally been his most deadly weapon. It has plunged Gotham into anarchy and chaos numerous times and has put Batman in trouble, causing him to fight his own nightmares.

But the Scarecrow could be about to reveal a new power based on what we see in Batman # 106. The villain could have developed a way of controlling the minds of others and would have already tried something with Batman himself.

Where we see this power most clearly is in a meeting that businessman Simon Saint has with Mayor Nakano of Gotham. When Nakano leaves the meeting, he says he has a bad omen about Saint, but also says that "something was itching in his brain." Scarecrow can be seen observing the gathering in the distance. It is possible that, in addition to what was seen in his capture of Batman, where he seemed to try to control more than his fear, the Scarecrow is about to develop this new power.

Of course, it can also be something else that is revealed to us in future instalments of the comics. What do you guys think?
