The players from Valheim inspire again and again with their creativity. Now one of them has created a modification for the game that allows the Vikings to reshape their bodies - and of course, the players immediately do mischief with it.
What kind of mod is that? The modification has the simple name "BoneMod" and does exactly what its name says: Modify bones. In video games, bones not only represent these sturdy bars made of calcium, but also the “framework” of the player model.
So with a change in the bones, the whole body is also changed. This means: if the bone becomes larger, the corresponding part of the body also changes. Arms, legs, heads or chests and even finer details such as the jaw, feet or hips can be changed.
The mod and a list of all possible body parts can be found on the website Nexusmods, which offers all possible modifications for Valheim and other games:
Mod turns players into blobs, chads, and flat giants
These are the results: On the
BoneMod side there are a few examples for the application of the mod. The creator himself shows misshapen piles of meat, pumped-up warriors with broad chests and an almost creepy “chin man”.
We have picked out some of the interesting gimmicks with the mod for you in our gallery:
With the mod, however, not only body parts can simply be enlarged or reduced, but all three dimensions can be individually adjusted. You can use it to create very large but also very flat models.
Player Chris Livingston played around with the different options and got some really weird results:
The idea fits perfectly with the Valheim community. The players there are incredibly creative, but often also do a lot of mischief. Whatever can be exploited is exploited and sometimes leads to really weird ideas.
How can I use the mod? Once you've downloaded the mod, you'll need to install it.
After the installation, new commands are available to you. We list the most important of them here. Simply open the chat by pressing "Enter" and enter the following:
- ! bm [body part] [x] [y] [z] - scales the corresponding body part on the corresponding axes by the specified length (for example:! bm head 2 1 2)
- the maximum of the scaling is 10 by default
- ! bmreset - resets the scaling
- ! bmhelp - shows the available commands
If you want to scale a part of the body evenly, a single number is sufficient (for example:! Bm head 2). This way you get results that are not quite as misshapen as seen in the clip above. The settings are saved when you log out or exit the game.
