Sci-fi role-playing game for adults Subverse has appeared in Steam Early Access. The game was announced in 2019 and has successfully raised money on Kickstarter, raising more money than many other projects.

After the release, the game was not available in all regions, as it contains adult content. In Germany, Australia, South Korea and China, the game was not released on Steam. But in these regions, the developers have released their own launcher that will allow you to enjoy the game. In other countries, gamers have a choice: they can purchase the game on Steam or the FOW Interactive launcher.

On March 26, players received the first 6 episodes of the planned 22. This includes tutorials and quests for recruiting the first three characters (waifu): Lily, DEMI and Killi. However, when you take into account the average length of each chapter, plus the fact that players will receive additional scenarios with each update, then the average length of Subverse could be over 30 hours of content.

The content of released chapters will not change as new ones are released. While various improvements will be made to the game, such as bug fixes, you don't have to worry about missing cutscenes, story missions, or other missions. So you can safely take up the game immediately after launch. There are six nebulae in the Subverse. There are over 500 planets in these nebulae. About 2/3 of them have some kind of plot or side quest.

The game is currently in Steam Early Access. The developers are focused on releasing updates and new characters for the game.

There is only one platform listed on the Kickstarter page - Steam. This means that there are no plans to release on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Nintendo Switch anytime soon.
