From id Software they assure that there are still stories about Doom Slayer to tell. Will we continue to disintegrate demons in the future?

The Doom saga was revived thanks to the title launched in 2016 by id Software , a studio associated with Bethesda. After a great reception, the adventures of Doom Slayer continued in 2020 with the launch of Doom Eternal , a title that further revalued the veteran saga.

After the launch of this installment, the id Software team has worked on the premiere of a DLC divided into two parts, The Ancient Gods, which represents the narrative closure to the history of these installments. However, fans of the demon slayer franchise still have a lot to be happy about.

The director of Doom Eternal, Hugo Martin, gave an interview to Polygon and spoke about the future of this saga that seems to continue active with new ideas and stories later. Let the Cacodemons get ready.

While this is the end of the story arc that began in Doom (2016), we planted a lot of bets in the ground with that story. And we've been able to develop a lot of those things throughout the course of Doom Eternal and make two DLCs. But there are more stories to tell with Doom Slayer, for sure.

Could we tell a story about when the Doom Slayer first came to that place with the Sentinels, almost like a more medieval setting, a fantasy setting? I think that while you play the DLC as well, you will see a lot of hints of what we could do in the future , explained the manager. Again, our hero is kind of timeless, I mean, literally, he's immortal so we could tell all kinds of stories.
