Intellect in Evil Genius 2: World Domination will allow you to launch some of the most profitable projects in the game, but in the early stages this resource is extremely difficult to find. In this guide, we are going to show you two main ways to get "intelligence" in the villain simulator.
Method one: interrogations
There is a way to earn a lot of "intelligence" at once, but this will attract the attention of the Forces of Justice. You need to interrogate detectives or agents of enemies. However, this procedure is fatal for them. If you focus only on this method, it will greatly complicate the life of the villain.
Thanks to interrogations, "intelligence" increases very quickly (3-5 per interrogation), but at the expense of "attention" (Heat). When the Forces of Justice send their men to a villain's lair, they expect them to return, so every investigator or agent you pack in a body bag will add more attention to the region.
Method two: improving the control room
Alternatively, you can use the research of three different items on the Global Operations tab of the Research menu to improve your Control Room — this is a slower, albeit safer way.
"Intelligence" obtained through the control room does not increase attention to the region. The very first "node" available on the "Global Operations" tab in the "Research" menu is for the computer console, which will allow you to passively farm "intelligence". To start the process, you need to send a minion to the console that will work there. You can make the dispatch a priority for some minions through the Minion Manager, then they will automatically be sent to work there.
As you progress further, you will gain access to both the Computer Array and the Holographic Map, which generate "intelligence" in your control room at a significantly higher volume than you originally received. However, in order to unblock access to these nodes, it is necessary to advance in the company and development. Therefore, early on, you will need 4 to 6 computer consoles in the control room to generate enough "intelligence" for projects, not relying solely on killing enemy agents and detectives.
***
To summarize: interrogate agents and investigators if you need a quick increase in "intelligence", but focus on your control room and research to keep the resource farming peacefully. Otherwise, Forces of Justice will become a regular hindrance. Poor planning early on will lead to quick defeat later, so don't get the attention of the good guys until you're strong enough.
