How to get shards, iron, leather and titanium in Outriders. How to improve weapons

The action shooter from the studio People Can Fly takes place in a dangerous world where players have to pump their equipment in order to increase its firepower and confront stronger opponents. Along with Leather, Titanium and Iron, Anomaly Shards are a valuable resource for crafting inOutriders . Here's how to get shards in Outriders.

How to craft items

To be able to upgrade your weapons, you first need to unlock the base and complete some of the main quests. You will have to go through a rather lengthy initial tutorial scene and become familiar with your anomalous abilities by choosing one of the four Outriders classes.

How to craft items

You need to talk to Dr. Abraham Zahedi to access the crafting menu where you can spend resources such as leather, iron, titanium, and shards to upgrade and create new equipment. To access him, you need to complete the quest "Reunion" and travel to the City-in-the-Rift, where he is held captive by the rebels.

Where to find resources

You can gather resources in Outriders by mining ore, killing animals, or dismantling old equipment. Here are the resources you can collect:

  • Leather - can be obtained by killing hostile animals or dismantling armor;
  • Iron - can be obtained from ore veins or by dismantling weapons;
  • Titanium - can be obtained by dismantling epic or legendary items. Also sometimes dropped from enemies and ore veins;
  • Shards - can be obtained by dismantling items.

Improving items

There are five rarities in Outriders: common, unusual, rare, epic, and legendary. You can upgrade an item to epic rarity using iron, leather, or titanium. The bonus attribute of the item will be assigned randomly, but you can choose one of three possible modifications.

In addition to increasing the rarity of an item, rare, epic and legendary items can be improved with leather, iron or titanium. This increases the main characteristics of the item: firepower, armor, or attribute values.

Improving items

Higher tier weapons can be upgraded with additional attributes to make them even more useful in combat. There are 6 upgrade stages available for these attributes, and shards are a resource that is used to increase these bonus characteristics through crafting.

Each stat in Outriders has its own type of crystal. The crystal icon next to the attribute in the item description shows what types of anomalous shards you will receive when dismantled. Do not worry if you have to dismantle an item whose attributes you previously picked up, as you will be returned some of the shards embedded in it.
