Take the Outriders intro and reach the point where you need to travel to First City. Click on "Options" and return to the lobby. In the lobby, go to the task selection. Select Rift Town, then the sub-quest in which you need to fight Altered at the Tower. Click "Continue Game".

When you return to the game, move forward in the first room and follow the stairs to the left until you see the pipe pictured below. Walk right and then turn right again to get the first chest.
