NieR Replicant: ALL materials, location and farming


In order to improve the weapons of Nier Replicant we will need materials . We have lots of different materials at our fingertips. Each of them is achieved in a different way, so here we will show you how to get all the materials and how to farm the most complicated ones.


How to get materials around the world

As you explore, you will see bright spots on all maps . These are places you can get objects from.


  • These points appear randomly, but always at fixed points . When you have located one, you can always go to it to see if you get something.
  • The object will be random, always within the possible materials of that area . That is, if the objects in Zone 1 are X and Y, if you go to a specific point sometimes it will give you the X and sometimes the Y, even if you always go to the same point.
  • The bright spots appear again as you exit and re-enter the area . You can take advantage of it to farm in the same area.


Machine oil

  • Zone: Junkyard.
  • How to get it: dropped by flying robots.

How to farm machine oil

Cannot farm during the first half (flying robots in the wagon phase do not drop items).

During the second half , you can just walk the first floor to the hallway with flying robots . Then, exit the Junkyard and repeat the process.

Titanium alloy

  • Zone: Junkyard.
  • How to get it: From the yellow robots with red lights (only with red lights) on the first floor or Basement 1. Large robots in Basement 2 drop it more often.

How to farm Titanium Alloy

To farm Titanium Alloy in the first half go to the Junkyard and take the first elevator to Basement 1 . Eliminate the three robots with red lights , go back to the elevator to the first floor and as soon as you leave, go back to Basement 1, they will have appeared again.


Broken antenna

  • Zone: Junkyard.
  • How to get it: it is dropped by the yellow robots on the first floor or Basement 1.

How to farm Broken Antenna

To farm Broken Antenna during the first half, simply eliminate all the robots on the first floor of the Junkyard, exit, and re-enter. Another way is to take the elevator to Basement 1 . After the three yellow robots with red lights, there is a hall with four or five robots with yellow lights . Kill them, go back to the elevator, go back to Basement 1 and repeat.


Clay

  • Zone: any, it is bought in Façade.
  • How to get it: from bright points in almost any area, or by buying it in Facade (800 gold coins per unit.

Serrated metal bat

  • Zone: Northern Plains.
  • How to get it: Dropped by Little Shadows.

How to farm Serrated Metal Bat

  • To farm the Serrated Metal Bat during the first part , follow the same procedure for the Rusty Kitchen Knife .

Broken arm

  • Zone: Junkyard.
  • How to get it: The robots on the first floor drop it.

Broken pottery

  • Area: Northern Plains, Eagle's Nest.
  • How to get it: It is obtained randomly from shiny search points.


Rubber

  • Zone: Coastal City, South Plains, can be purchased in Coastal City.
  • How to get it: You can get it from collection points in South Plains or Coastal City. It is also purchased from the Coastal City Materials Store (700 gold per unit).

Rusty kitchen knife

  • Zone: North Plains, South Plains, Castle of the Lord of Shadows.
  • How to get it: in the North Plains it is obtained from the Small Shadows, in the North and South Plains and the Castle of the Lord of Shadows, from the shadows with hats (those that cast magic).

How To Farm Rusty Kitchen Knife

To farm Rusty Kitchen Knife in the first half , go to the North Plains and eliminate the Small Shadows that appear west of the wooden bridge . Then take the exit to the Forest of Legends and return to the Plains , to make all the enemies spawn again. Eliminate the enemies to the bridge and repeat.


In the second half, you can go to the South Plains , there are lots of enemies of the little ones.

Mystery switch

  • Zone: Junkyard.
  • How to get it: defeating robots in the factory. Anyone can drop it.

Broken lens

  • Zone: Junkyard, can be purchased at the Junkyard.
  • How to get it: left by robots with yellow lights, or can be purchased at the Junkyard for 1,100 gold.

Complex machine

  • Zone: Junkyard, Lost Sanctuary.
  • How to get it: it is obtained from any of the robots in the Junkyard, or from the giant Shadows that can appear in the Lost Sanctuary or the South Plains.

How to farm Complex machine

To farm Complex Machine in the first half , you should go to the South Plains from the Village of Nier . Sometimes a giant Shadow will appear as soon as you arrive, on the right . It is quite tough, but by the time you unlock the option to upgrade items, you can already defeat it with a fully charged Dark Spear , although it will take a while. Kill her, go to the Village of Nier and go back to the South Plains to make her appear (she won't always) and repeat.


Elaborate machine

  • Zone: Southern Plains, Junkyard, Lost Sanctuary.
  • How to get it: eliminating robots in the Junkyard, or the giant shadows with their own life bar of the Lost Sanctuary (second part) or the one that appears in the South Plains.

How To Farm Elaborate Machine

To farm the Machine made in the first half , do the same as to farm Complex Machine , the enemy drops both types of machine.


Simple machine

  • Zone: Southern Plains, Junkyard, Lost Sanctuary.
  • How to get it: eliminating robots in the Junkyard, or the giant shadows with their own life bar of the Lost Sanctuary (second part) or the one that appears in the South Plains.

How to farm Simple machine

To farm the Simple Machine in the first half , do the same as to farm Complex Machine , the enemy drops both types of machine.

Iron ore

  • Zone: any, can be bought at the Junkyard.
  • How to get it: You can get it from bright spots in almost all areas. It can also be purchased from the Junkyard shop (1,000 gold per unit).

Silver ore

  • Zone: any, can be bought at the Junkyard.
  • How to get it: You can get it from bright spots in almost all areas. It can also be purchased from the Junkyard shop (1,500 gold per unit).

Gold ore

  • Zone: any zone.
  • How to get it: you have to get it from item search points.

Scorpion clamp

  • Zone: Desert.
  • How to get it: Eliminate scorpions and search their bodies.

How to farm Scorpion Claw

Go to the Desert the area before Facade, and look at the minimap . You will see that there are arrows that indicate the position of enemies, but they are gray. They indicate the position of the scorpions . Run over those positions to make a scorpion appear. Kill as many as you want, go to Façade or East Highway and repeat.

Broken saw

  • Zone: North Plains, South Plains.
  • How to get it: Dropped by Swords Small Shadows from the Northern Plains, or Armored Small Shadows from the South Plains (Part Two).

How to farm Sierra rota

To farm Broken Sierra for the first half , follow the same procedure as for the Rusty Kitchen Knife , moving in and out of the Forest of Legends to respawn enemies.


In the second half , go to the South Plains where a lot of small enemies will appear.

Screw passed threading

  • Zone: Junkyard, can be bought at the Junkyard.
  • How to get it: The robots on the first floor drop it. It can also be purchased from the Junkyard shop (900 gold per unit).
