The circulation of the series "Magic Battle" has exceeded 45 million copies

March 31 Twitter manga "Magical Battle» ( Jujutsu Kaisen ) said that the circulation of the series has exceeded 40 million copies. Three weeks later, on April 21, Twitter announced that the series had already exceeded 45 million copies (including digital sales). This probably includes a total print run of 0-15 volumes of the original manga by Gege Akutami and two volumes of the light novel of the series.

Last October, when the 24-episode anime adaptation of MAPPA's manga began airing, the series had a circulation of over 8.5 million. The anime show ended on March 27th. On the same day, it was announced that MAPPA would be releasing a film based on volume 0 of the Magic Battle 0: Tokyo Metropolitan Magic College. The full-length anime will be a prequel to the series and will be released in Japan this winter.

Magical Battle has been published in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine since March 5, 2018. In an interview, Akutami spoke about the future of the manga. According to the author's estimates, "Battle of Magic" will end in two years, provided that work on the manga goes according to plan (therefore, the deadline for the completion of the series may still be shifted). Akutami also said that half of the story has already been told.
