There are several Metal Gear Solid remakes in development and a new compilation, according to an insider

 

This insider affirms that Metal Gear Solid 4 would make the leap to the new consoles, along with a new compilation of the saga and several remakes in development.

The Metal Gear Solid saga could have something to say this year . We have already heard similar information and rumors, such as the desired Silent Hill reboot for PS5, the possible Bloober Team project or the rumored Metal Gear Solid reboot from Bluepoint Games ... but there is much more circulating on the networks.

Last week we told you that an insider commented on the possible return of Metal Gear Solid , but now we have more information about this possible return of Konami's IP . This is just a rumor , so for now you should catch it with tweezers.

Insider KatharsisT predicts a big comeback for Metal Gear Solid, on a Reddit subforum. Along with the remake of the first game for PS5, by Bluepoint (Demon's Souls Remake), this insider affirms that there are several remakes of Metal Gear Solid in development for current consoles and even a new compilation of the franchise.

It does not clarify if these are remakes as such or if they would be 4K remasters , although it seems that Konami's intentions would go through relaunching the rest of the installments of the saga, beyond the "recent" Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain . This would make it possible to enjoy Metal Gear Solid 2 or Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater with improved graphics.

As we say, it is just a rumor and there is no data to support this information given by KatharsisT . Last Friday, we told you that the official Metal Gear Solid account shared  a mysterious image of Big Shell, the underwater installation that appears in Metal Gear Solid 2 , although since then it has not been clarified what it is.

On the other hand, another insider points out that Konami is working on a new compilation of the saga , beyond the one released on PS3 and Xbox 360 under the name of Metal Gear Solid HD Collection (which includes the second and third games). He states that this would include Metal Gear Solid 4, an exclusive PS3 game and that, for now, it is unpublished in the generation of PS4 and Xbox One.

We repeat once again that this rumor has no firm basis , and that for the moment it remains a mere anecdote. However, so many revelations of Metal Gear Solid could imply that there is something behind, and that Konami would not have revealed yet ... along with the launch of official products of its IP in the online store of the Japanese company.
