Minecraft Caves & Cliffs Part 1: all the changes in snow and freezing

We offer you all the keys to both freezing and powder snow in Minecraft after the last update.

The long-awaited update of Caves and Cliffs was recently released in its part 1 , until part 2 arrives at the end of the year that will include many more news, and we continue to shelve in our guides all those important additions that you can use in your games to obtain advantages.

On this occasion, we want to focus on the powder snow and the freezing system , which has changed slightly with the inclusion of this material that you will be able to find in the frozen areas of the entire map and that you will be able to use as a resource to also cheat.

Now we are going to have to change all our strategies thanks to the arrival of powder snow, which we can collect, use as a trap, and which could even come back to haunt us if we are not equipped properly.

Minecraft Caves & Cliffs Part 1: all the changes in snow and freezing

All about powder snow

All about powder snow

  • You will be able to find powdered snow in all the frozen places where it is snowing, and it is a block that causes any entity that enters it to sink and suffer damage from freezing.
  • If you use a cauldron or a bucket, you can fill it with powdered snow.
  • If you don't want to fall into powder snow, you must be equipped with leather boots.
  • If the enemy is on fire, all the fire will be extinguished when it collides with the powder snow, and in this case the powder snow block will also be destroyed.
  • Most of the animals can walk on the powder without falling but they will go slower, except the heavy animals that will also sink with what you could use as a trap.

All about freezing

All about freezing

  • If you fall into a block of powdered snow you will slowly start to freeze.
  • Once an entity has been frozen by powder snow, it will take gradual damage from freezing.
  • Using a piece of leather armor will prevent the entity from freezing completely.
  • Cold or ice-type enemies such as Wolves, Polar Bears or Golems are immune to frostbite.
  • If you come across an entity that is completely frozen, you will see that it will tremble slightly.
  • Fire-type enemies will take increased damage on freeze.

So taking into account all these equations about the behavior of powder snow and also of freezing, surely you have already come up with a few ideas for your games.
