Everything about the gardening system in Genshin Impact 2.0 - how it works, what can be grown

With the release of patch 2.0 in the game Genshin Impact will introduce a new gardening mechanic that will allow you to grow various vegetables and flowers for further use in crafting. In this guide, we have collected for you all the relevant information about the new functionality so that you can know in advance what to prepare for.

When the 2.0 update is installed on the main Genshin Impact servers, a new region of Inazuma will appear in the game - on it you will have to grow crops. To gain access to gardening, you need to level up your reputation with Inazuma to level 3, after which NPC Madarame Hakubei will give you the first batch of seeds and will open access to the quest "The Art of Gardening".

How to use the seed chest

Meet Madame Pin, who, as a reward for successfully completing the quest (in the quest, you just need to find one of the native plants of Inazuma) will give you a chest of seeds. Equip it from your inventory, after which you can get their seeds while collecting plants at locations.

Seeds can be obtained not only by the collection method, but also bought in the public domain. To do this, you will need to find the Chubby (Tunny) in the Teapot of Serenity (will appear after the release of Inazuma) and select the Tabernacle Treasury tab. There, find the item "Creatures of the monastery", where you will see a list of available purchases. It updates periodically, so if you haven't found the seeds you need today, try logging in after the timer at the bottom of the screen counts down the time remaining until the update.

How to plant seeds

When you have a certain amount of seeds at your disposal, they can be planted on a special field, which can be purchased in the same tab “Creatures of the monastery”. At the start of the update, Genshin Impact will have three types of fields (Jade Field, Luxuriant Glebe and Orderly Meadow), on each of which you can grow specific types of plants:

After purchasing the field, you will need to place it on the ground, choosing a suitable terrain. When you do this, your site will also appear on the mini-map, making it easier to interact and control crop growth.

A maximum of four plants can be grown in each field at a time, so use the space wisely. Each seed after planting ripens a certain amount of time, during which you can replace it with another plant (the previous seed will be lost forever).

After planting, coming close to the field, you can see how long it takes for a particular plant to ripen. When the timer ends, you will need to return to the site and manually harvest the crop, after which the following crops can be planted on the field.
