A new South Park game from the creators of the series is in development

Trey Parker and Matt Stone are rumored to be working on a new game. The following tweet from Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier highlights a new company created by South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, saying they plan to use the money "to invest in a wide range of creative endeavors, including a 3D video game. , which takes place in the world of "South Park".

The article itself reports that the duo has formed a new company to fund several projects, including films for streaming service Paramount Plus, a weed company (of course) and a new video game South Park. So far, this is the first confirmation that a new South Park game is in active development.

As Schreier notes, the new South Park game may not be published by Ubisoft. Released South Park: The Stick of Truth, and South Park: The Fractured But Whole were published by Ubisoft in 2014 and 2017, respectively. The first game was developed in partnership with Obsidian Entertainment and South Park Digital Studios, while the last one was developed in partnership with South Park Digital Studios and Ubisoft's in-house game development studios.

All that is known about the upcoming South Park game is that it will be out soon and will be run by the same creative duo as before. It is currently unknown who will publish the game, or who is even developing the new adventure, although it is safe to say that South Park Digital Studios may again be involved in this.
