Mortal Kombat 11 Character Rankings 2021

Mortal Kombat 11 Character Rankings 2021

Mortal Kombat is a media franchise, a combination of video games, movies, cartoons, comics and more, introduced to the world in 1992 as a video game nearly 29 years ago. The game received instant community recognition as an extreme violence game.

This sparked controversy over gore and gore that no one had ever seen in games, especially in arcade fighting games. This helped Mortal Kombat grow into the colossal media franchise we know today.

It helped the ever-growing fighting game genre become one of the most popular gaming genres in the 90s, and has helped the genre flourish throughout the 2000s to this day. The first game in the series was an instant hit despite the controversial reception.

People began to remember this game as "a game in which you can cut limbs, heads," and from that moment on, the Mortal Kombat series was known for its extreme cruelty, blood and gore, as well as chopping various parts of the body.

Unlike other fighting games like arcade street fighter, Mortal Kombat did not have a combination of attacks, but players will have to create their own combinations after learning certain button combinations. The perfect game for humans to get into but hard to master.

Mortal Kombat 11 is the latest installment of the Mortal Kombat series developed by NetherRealm Studios. After acquiring the rights to Mortal Kombat and other assets from Midway Games, Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment began publishing the series on multiple platforms.

Mortal Kombat 11 is the eleventh main game in the series and the third Mortal Kombat game developed by Netherealm Studios. Since the release, the game has received several patches and updates that bring significant changes to the game's formula, including character updates.

As with other competitive games, these updates brought about notable changes to the meta, which is why we have this carefully crafted Mortal Kombat 11 tier list. You will find many Mortal Kombat 11 tier lists. Some of them will have different meanings.

NOTE.  Note that this tier list is completely subjective and will differ from most people's opinions, but I'm pretty sure most people will agree with most of the characters on the tier lists, with a few exceptions.

Without further ado, let's move on to the level lists.

Mortal Kombat 11 Tier List

Whether it's a fighting game or competitive play with different characters, the tier lists add flavor to the gaming community, and a controversial list can even spark drama. Mortal Kombat 11 is no different.

There are tens of hundreds of game-related level lists that you can find online. These tier lists help players and the gaming community create a specific meta or define an existing meta for the community.

Where players decide and discover  high damage combinations , attacks, defense and other important characteristics, choosing the strongest and most resilient characters who will win them online matches or even tournaments.

Tier lists also help newcomers focus on specific characters and gain a competitive edge in their online matches, as well as better understand the newly created meta following a new game patch.

To help newbies and people who have just started the game, I present to you the Mortal Kombat Tier List. I spent a lot of time researching the internet and professional gamers' opinions of the characters to compile this list.

Mortal Kombat 11 (MK11) Tier List: How We Ranked Fighters

The list is divided into five levels; S - level  - the best and highest in levels, then  A - level ,  B - level ,  C - level  and  D - level .

For this list, there is no F-level or worse, because there is not a single character belonging to that level. I believe that after a certain amount of time and practice of any character, even the D-level can rise to the C list.

The game is newer than its competitors, and people are still exploring ways to make characters flexible that can easily change the level of characters if they spend enough practice and time researching combinations, not to mention fixes and updates that can make the character less playable. go up to B-level.

The list has all the playable fighters, even the recently released fighters like  Rambo , Reign, and Milina.

It is also relevant with the recently released MK11 Ultimate balance update, which has bought several gameplay updates, including changes to characters' abilities, health, and frames.

Gamers with enough dedication and practice can surprise most of the community with a low-rated character on most tier lists, they can. With that in mind, here are the level details that I've categorized across the entire Mortal Kombat 11 roster:

NOTE:  I've named some of the Mortal Kombat 11 characters as fighters in the list  .

S - Level:

S-Tier  is the highest level on the list. Some lists even contain "  +  " and "  -  " along with the level, because the list of symbols is too long to be included in one S-level category.

Any general tier list you find on the Internet starts with an S level, where S stands for  Excellent  ,  Special  , or even  Super  .

The word can change from person to person or from website to website, but the meaning does not change. Like the other tier lists, the S tier   on our list is among the best characters available in the game that you can use to take out your opponents in an online match or even a tournament.

A - Level:

A - Tier  - the second most powerful level, immediately below  S - Tier , the border between the two levels is not particularly defined. The fighters on this list are quite popular and are some of the most popular heroes in the official Mortal Kombat 11 tournaments.

These fighters have enough abilities to close the gap between two fighters, which can turn the tide of a match and can catch your enemies off guard.

B - Level:

B -  The level category   is for characters that have moderate damage and can be pretty decent, but require decent knowledge of those characters. The number of fighters falling into this category is the highest.

These fighters will provide a decent chance of winning a match against your opponents if you know what you are doing and you know the deadly combinations.

C - Level:

C - Level is  intended for fighters who are worthy, but require a lot of knowledge about game mechanics and specific battles that you would like to play in order to achieve the desired results. Such fighters require skill, flawless execution of combos to achieve victory.

Fighters on the C-Tier list often have more disadvantages than advantages in most matches, but with perfect execution, users can overcome these disadvantages and win their matches, whether online or in a tournament.

D - Level:

Characters from the D-Tier roster   are the most difficult and tedious to play. These fighters are the least picked in matches due to their overwhelming power.

There are times when one or more characters quickly rise from a lower level to a higher one. This happens when someone suddenly finds a deadly combination by accident or just by training.

Fighters on the D-tier roster   can potentially become viable in matches due to the least time spent on such characters, and there may be combinations that can change the course of battles.

NOTE: The  fighters in each category are not numbered. Moreover, I will explain later what  the  terms  zoner ,  rushdown / mobile,  and  rushdown mean  in the next section of this article.

Mortal Kombat 11 S - level

After the MK11 Ultimate update, several heroes have been changed; some got nerfs and some fighters got a boost.

Mortal Kombat 11 S - level

Below is a list of thirty-seven playable fighters that I believe fall into the S-tier category after the MK11 Ultimate update.

Liu Kang

Liu Kang  is considered one of the "  top three  " characters in the game. He has multiple moves that can make Liu Kang's opponents guess his next moves, which can open up multiple offensive options.

Liu Kang

It has one of the best zoning tricks in the game, with other decent stats like mobility and fighting. It doesn’t have the best range compared to other Tier S and A fighters, but this can be compensated for by its ample shells.

One of the reasons he is considered strong is his wobbling, which is nearly impossible to react to, leading to speculation.

Erron Black

Some people think  Erron Black will make it  to the top 10 due to his high damage output. He's not one of the mobile fighters in the game, but he has other balanced stats that negate his lack of mobility.

Erron Black

Some people will argue that Error Black does not deserve to be at the S-tier, but I believe that he is a really decent fighter. Of course, it is difficult to master, but if done correctly, it will give you the desired result.

One of his strengths is his ability to poke an opponent. Because of his low range, his string attack is best performed at close range, such as At The Door and Keep'em Honest.

Cetrion

Cetrion is undoubtedly one of the strongest fighters in the game. Out of most lists I've seen, almost every list puts Cetrion at the top of the list, and for good reason. She has one of the best zoning and mobile / rushdown characters in the game.

Cetrion

Some believe that Cetrion doesn't have a single bad match in the game. When a player puts enough effort on a fighter, he can become a serious threat.

Combining her high mobility, zoning and range skills, it is nearly impossible to predict her next move. Some even consider her to be the best zoner in the game.

Cassie cage

Cassie Cage  is one of the best characters in Mortal Kombat S - level because of her decent, all-round stats. It offers excellent mobility and one of the best ranges in the game.

Cassie cage

She has a decent arsenal of zoning tools that, combined with her quick attacks, can prove deadly.

When properly mastered, she can control the space between her opponents and instantly block enemies using her shots and drone projectiles.

Her wobbles are very strong and can punish every move, which makes the fighter very popular and one of the top spots on the list.

Jackie Briggs

Jackie Briggs  is the last character on the S-tier roster and is undoubtedly the "  top 3  " fighters because of her strong fighters-rushes who can put a lot of pressure on her opponents.

She not only has extremely high mobility, but also amazing range and high damage. She proposes a serious attack that can cause significant damage, including overwhelming damage. She also has a great swing.

Jackie Briggs

Due to its range and mobility, it can throw very fast medium hits that are harder to spot and dodge. It gets even worse if you're in an online lobby where factors such as ping can delay your opponent's moves.

It offers 9 frames in the middle, and in Mortal Kombat 11, the middle frames of 9 frames are pretty damn strong. She has several follow-up actions using her indestructible attacks that can deal massive damage.

Mortal Kombat 11 A - Level

Now that we're done filtering out the best of the best fighters in the game, it's time to discuss the A-tier roster. Below are the characters that I think belong to this category:

Mortal Kombat 11 A - Level

Rain

Rain is one of the most recent fighters to debut in   Mortal Kombat 11's "  Kombat Pack 2  " update . He is a fast-paced character and one of the fastest characters in the game; some may even find it the fastest.

Rain

It has fast normals that can be followed by various attacks to create good pressure. It has an acceptable range, but is most effective at close range attacks. His abilities can also be used to incapacitate enemies, but again from close range.

One of Rain's best stats is his ability to grapple with an unreactive speed that is so hard to see, making his grappling almost indestructible, making him terrifying in melee.

Geras

Geras is a character who used to be so good that many people categorized him as an S-tier, but after some weakening of his abilities, he is still a strong fighter on the Mortal Kombat roster.

Geras

He is one of the best grapplers in the game with high zoning ability and decent mobility. His grip is quite difficult to avoid, and his  Crushing Strikes  do extremely high damage.

It combines multiple attacks with its fast movement, decent jabs, jump attacks, and more to create intimidating confusion at close range.

Sonya

Sonya  is another extremely popular fighter and one of the best characters in the game at the time of its release. She has received several nerfs in the past that drove her from being  one of the best  to being  decent / good  .

Sonya

She is one of the strongest dealers in games that are deadly when they get close to their opponents. She can also keep enemies at a distance from her due to her zoning abilities, making her a flexible character.

Some of her attacks are really hard to avoid and can often be abused to launch combos on her opponents.

Shang Tsung

Shang Tsung is a zoning fighter and one of the best in this game. It has a lot of midrange, which is very important for playing and is very fast.

He has great control over distance between himself and his opponents thanks to his zoning abilities and high range.

Shang Tsung

One of Shang Tsung's best traits is the unique abilities that can make his enemies think twice in order to get close to him, such as his ability to transform into his enemies for a shorter period.

He also offers a lot of combo potential, making him an easier character to learn.

During this period, he can gain the entire set of his enemy's movements, which is extremely deadly, but requires knowledge of each character in the game in order to make the most of it.

Scorpion

Scorpio  is one of the most memorable and iconic characters in the Mortal Kombal universe.

Scorpion

In MK11, he is quite agile and can quickly close the distance between his opponents, which can open up the potential of a combo that can deal decent damage to your opponent's health bar.

He is also friendly to new players and can be easily mastered, but that does not make him below A-level.

He has an impressive range and a deadly combination with his fast movement. He can teleport at any time, which can disrupt his opponent's combo attacks.

Johnny Cage

Johnny Cage is a fast-paced character with one of the best overall characteristics of any character.

Johnny Cage

Cage offers a decent range, which is his biggest advantage over other fighters, and combined with his mobility and zoning abilities, he certainly belongs to the A-level, and a great player can push him even to a higher level than A.

He's great at casting ranged normals and is just as deadly at close range. This makes him a very fighter who can apply decent pressure.

He has good projectiles that improve his zoning stats.

Jade

Jade is another worthy character who, due to her range, can put a lot of pressure on her enemies, opening up a lot of options.

She has many ranged attacks, some of which have the most ranged attacks in the game.

Jade

Thanks to her amazing range, she is great against characters who would like to stay airborne for their attacks.

She also launches tracking projectiles that are almost impossible to dodge and require great skill to avoid.

Her weakness is her low damage, but her other strengths almost negate her weakness, making her a fun character. She also forces her enemies to approach her and negates most characters' zoning attacks.

Joker

The Joker is a mind-blowing character with impressive all-round characteristics. It has one of the most ranged attacks in the game, possibly due to its theme.

He made his debut in a fighting game for the first time with the release of "  Kombat Pack 1  ".

Joker

The reason the Joker is so strong is because he has no weak points other than some of his slow projectiles. He has an arsenal of ranged and conventional attacks that can be used to create fun combos.

He also has some decent zoning tools up his sleeve that can be combined with his tricks to block his opponents and deal massive damage.

Scarlet

Scarlet is a great fighter known for his absurd ranged attacks and zoning. She is also a natural born heavyweight fighter. She is a natural opponent of combatants who are best at close range.

Scarlet

One of Scarlet's problems is her low damage and slow normals, which can be easily countered, which is why some people do not place her at higher levels.

Her extremely high attack zoning keeps her opponents at bay, making her a worthy character overall.

She can restore her health after certain attacks that cannot be prevented only if opponents block such attacks.

Below zero

Sub-Zero  is another fantastic character capable of dealing massive damage.

He is a fast-paced fighter with excellent movement and some of the best attacks in the game, such as his reversal, arguably the best in the game.

Below zero

If you want to level up in the game, Sub-Zero won't let you down due to its ease of execution.

Aside from his thrilling attacks, he has decent all-round stats, making him a strong and viable fighter for online and tournament matches.

Mortal Kombat 11 B - Level

The B-tier roster contains fighters who are generally considered good by the Mortal Kombal community, professional players, and game reviewers.

Mortal Kombat 11 B - Level

These characters are almost as good as the aforementioned levels, but they have several weaknesses that put them on a lower level.

Here is a list of the characters that I think are Category B characters.

Noob Saibot

Noob Saibot is another potentially great character with amazing attacks and zoning skills, given his current status, unfortunately he is no higher than B-tier, but if executed perfectly, due to his damage, he can get to Light A-tier ...

Noob Saibot

He is a zoning fighter who uses his shadow to control the space between him and his opponent.

It has one of the highest damage rates in the game and can be deadly at close range. He has a 9-frame attack in the middle, one of the best moves in the game.

His biggest weakness is his low movement speed, which can be countered by heroes with high mobility. His low mobility makes him a poor opponent against highly mobile characters like Cetrion.

Cabal

Cabal is one of the underrated characters in the game, mainly due to his slow movement speed, but he has some amazing decent stats like range and mobility. It has far-reaching normals that are fast, not to mention.

Cabal

He is one of the harshest characters in the game due to his powerful  Crushing Strikes  , which can damage his foes if they casually attack the Cabal.

What makes him quite strong is his ability to stay safe after almost every attack he makes. He can also launch his enemies in combos if they are not fast enough.

Fujin

Fujin is one of the hardest fighters in the game and he is nowhere to be found a friendly new character, and even experienced players find it difficult to execute his combos with maximum precision. He is a more advanced fighter.

Fujin

It can easily climb to A or even S if played carefully. He has normals with a decent range, which keeps his opponents at bay.

He can easily catch his enemies off guard from anywhere on the screen while holding back his enemy's movements against him.

He is a more flexible character with high mobility with fast air and ground movements. Due to its complex nature, I placed it in the B - level.

Sindel

Sindel is also potentially a great character to master due to her confusion and super-fast mobility.

She has an epic range of attacks with which she can hit her enemies. Its ability to carry out attacks from long range is highly confusing.

Sindel

Her wobbles are good too. She also has decent cancellations that can easily get the opponent thinking about her next move, opening up a space for confusion. She has one of the best  Crushes  in the game.

She gets hit by slow and normal characters. Otherwise, she's a great character.

Sheeva

Shiva is a normal character, nothing special. She has excellent zoning and fighting abilities, some of the highest in the game. She has an impetuous character and fast normals. Her movement speed is also fast.

Sheeva

One of its weaknesses is the range. Her melee attacks require a tool, which she places on the tier lists.

Her confusion is pretty crazy, but she needs to be right in front of the enemy to be able to perform confusion and damaging combos. If played inaccurately, she can be severely punished for her mistakes.

Rambo

Rambo is one of the most hyped up characters released in MK11. He is an all-rounder with fairly mediocre stats, aside from his ability to fight his opponents.

Its damage is no laughing matter. He is capable of inflicting great damage.

Rambo

His attacking power is generally high, but for some reason his punishments are rather unconvincing. He is also one of the characters that needs to be in front of an opponent to deal damage.

It has impressive anti-zoning tools and can create some pretty good damage-dealing mess. Its normals are nothing special, and due to their short range, its normals are probably among the worst in the game.

Night Wolf

Night Wolf is an impressive and great fighter. Its nature is fast-paced and its strong normals can do a lot of damage. His normal ones are not only fast, but can also throw them from a decent distance.

Night Wolf

His duck attacks are great, which, if not dodged or dodged, he stuns and launches his opponents in deadly combos.

It also has one of the fastest and best projectiles in the game. The projectile is mid, which means it cannot be avoided by dodging.

The projectile can be held and canceled, which can put opponents in an undesirable position.

Robocop

Robocop is another hype character released in Aftermath Expansion. He is a zoning fighter with a fairly slow movement speed. Its zoning is very good, undoubtedly one of the best.

Robocop

He hits hard with these throwing attacks, and his grapples are commendable as well. His combo starters aren't the best, but mediocre to underdog.

At close range, it strikes with fairly fast normals, which are quite difficult to avoid or dodge. But these normals will only work at close range, which makes this his weak point.

Spawn

Spawn is an antihero who has appeared in comics of the same name. He is one of the few non-Marvel or DC characters to appear in a video game.

Spawn

It has long range attacks and several medium range attacks. Its normals can reach opponents from a distance. This is the character best played from a distance; it is not suitable for close ranged combat.

Its damage is insane, easily hitting the top 10 or even top 5. One of his combinations deals massive damage and is easy to complete. Not many fighters offer this kind of luxury.

Due to the nature and range of its normals, it can put a lot of pressure on its opponents and open up a chance for confusion. Although it is easy to punish him for a whiff.

Terminator

Despite his advanced age,  Terminator  is a fast-paced character (sorry, I know it was a bad joke) with a strong attack from above, and he is probably one of the best in 50/50 attacks. He also offers a solid mid that can be used as a starting point, but the range is small.

Terminator

As one of the best fighters, making him a real threat at close range. He has a lot of attacks that can open up combos, confusion and damage to his opponents.

Terminator's normals are very fast, which makes him a good jab. Otherwise, it is rather insecure and has many features that decent players can punish for. He also has weak zoning attacks.

Baraka

Baraka is the last character on our B-tier list and can deal so much damage that it is equal to or better than most of the fighters on the list.

He suffers from one big problem - his slowness and range.

Baraka

Movement aside, Baraka is a pretty solid, resilient fighter, popular for his high damage, fast and fast normal, which is difficult to react to. It also has a decent range of normals.

He has a super fast attack as well as a fast projectile that allows him to control the space between his enemies.

Mortal Kombat 11 C - Level

Now that we have finished discussing the B - tier list, it's time to split the characters that are good, but their weaknesses affect their ranking in the tier lists.

Mortal Kombat 11 C - Level

Below are some of the characters who, if executed with very high precision, can surpass even the best higher-level fighters:

Kung Lao

Kung Lao is a good, versatile fighter in Mortal Kombat 11 with some serious attacks and combos.

The beauty of Kung Lao lies in its ability to switch between attacking and defensive stances.

Kung Lao

He is one of the most difficult characters. His hat is one of his best tricks. When he goes on the offensive, he can create high pressure and can damage his opponent's health in no time.

It has fast normals, but it can be useless due to its short distance. Overall a decent fighter who can pay off with enough time and practice.

Kitana

Kitana was one of the worthy characters in the game when it launched. In future updates, she was weakened, which ultimately dropped her into this category.

She can throw normals from a long distance, but the damage is low.

Kitana

Any fighter who cannot compensate for their severe damage will be ignored by the community and the pros, so they will be placed at the end of the tier list, as was the case with Kitana.

She has, no doubt, decent zoning, and the smell of heavy punishment.

The problem with Kitana is her strings. Players will have to carry out a full series of attacks, which Kitana can severely punish if you dodge them.

She also has a decent air launcher that can launch her opponents in combos.

Jax

Jax, from his appearance, is a pretty dead fighter who would rather beat up his opponents.

His close range combat is powerful and can be used to pressure and make his enemies confused and deal a lot of damage.

Jax

His mobility is also pretty decent for a C-level character. His ability to punish is not something to be expected. He walks wide open after performing the Flawless Lock action   .

With this exception, he has decent damage, good throws, and his  Crashing Shots  are pretty strong.

He can also throw fast normals and his normal attack is 9 frames, which is insane. His reel is also considered to be one of the best in the game.

freezing

Frost is one of the ranged fighters who prefer decent neutrals. Her projectiles and long-range normals are one of the favorite attacks in the game.

She can attack with multiple ice attacks regardless of range. However, the speed of these projectiles is low.

freezing

This is why it is best played at medium range. She offers one of the best solutions for anti-air attacks with a poke, which lowers her hitbox, which she uses to the fullest to counter aerial enemies.

It has a  hole  after performing the Flawless Lock action   .

Raiden

There are several characters in Mortal Kombat who use their high mobility to get close or establish some distance between their opponents.

Raiden  is one such fighter, and he prefers to have an average distance between him and his opponents. He has a great range and is probably one of the most agile characters in MK11.

Raiden

He can confuse his enemies with his zone attacks, making him a worthy fighter for creating confusion, especially at close range. Interestingly, Raiden started out as a weak character, but now he is strengthened and becomes strong if performed in exceptional cases.

He is still insecure when performing certain attacks that can lead him to destructible combinations, which is one of the few reasons he is still at lower levels.

Milina

Milina was recently featured in Mortal Kombat 11. She was released alongside Rain and Rambo in   the  Kombat Pack 1 update  . She's a versatile fighter with insanely good options for confusion.

Milina

She is one of the best in neutral play. She is a good zoner, along with her quick mobility and grip.

It is currently being discovered by several players in the MK community and professional players.

She still has a lot of special rejection issues. She also suffers from melee normals, which is one of the main mechanics of the game.

On the other hand, she offers great zoning tools and is adept at countering her opponent's goodness with zoning.

Mortal Kombat 11 D - level

The fighters on the D-tier rosters are not necessarily good and need to be improved in future updates. We can see the fighters in this category move up the tier list after a decent balance update, making them viable.

Mortal Kombat 11 D - level

Here is a list of the characters that I think are D-level:

Collector

The Collector is a decently rounded character with mediocre stats. He can deal impressive damage thanks to his decent ranged attacks. He can throw a normal long and strong close-up game.

Collector

When he gets close, he has amazing stunning attacks. He can put good pressure on his opponents, which can create an opportunity for confusion.

He can nullify enemies zoning using this teleporter or bolu, but due to his slow moment and pokes, he is fine at best.

Kano

Kano is another potentially high level character who can deal massive damage to his opponents with his attacking power and pressure. It has several lows that can be very confusing.

Kano

His close-up play is very intimidating and is one of the scariest characters to play with if he meets his opponent.

The reason he is at such a low level is due to his slow normal action and his attacks are unsafe to use during combat, which can be punished if his opponent has experience with the game.

D'Vorah

D'Vora is another ridiculously ranged character with one of the longest-range attacks in the game, making her one of her greatest strengths. She is also able to put her opponents at a disadvantage.

D'Vorah

She can create decent setups and has a projectile attack that can be used during battle to create complex setups while simultaneously being an attacker.

She is also a great anti-aircraft character. She has one of the best anti-aircraft weapons in the game.

She can counter most aerial attacks with her  Crushing Blow  . She affects her slowness, pokes and is not a good punisher.

Shao Kahn

Shao Kahn is a deadly fighter, one of the first bosses in the Mortal Kombat series. Shao Kahn has decent ranged attacks and can launch his foes with strong damage combos.

Shao Kahn

He also strikes in his normal ranged mode, and despite his huge body, he is fast. He has flawless blocking  gaps all over the screen  , making him one of the worst in the game right now.

He also has great opponents in the game and can punish such characters harshly.

Kotal Kan

Kotal Kan is the latest fighter to make it to our rankings at the time of writing. He's a good character, but still weaker than higher-level fighters.

He is a fast fighter who can easily enter and exit the enemy's attack zone.

Kotal Kan

His damage is insane and, combined with his normal ranged players, he is once again one of the best in the game. He has a lot of confusion potential and can adjust his combos during combat, so it is quite difficult to avoid his combos.

He can summon totems to boost his attacks, but this is a slow call that is punishable. His "  Krushinsky strikes  " are also rather weak.

Best zoning characters in Mortal Kombat 11

Earlier in the article, before starting our list of tiers, I mentioned that I will be discussing the terms  zoning  ,  haste  , and grappler in the last section of the article.

The term "zoning" in fighting games refers to the tactics of keeping opponents at a distance using ranged attacks, projectiles, and other means of gameplay. In Mortal Kombat, multiple attacks can be used to control the space between two characters, which is called zoning.

Some fighters are good at zoning, some are good at counter-zoning, and some are just mediocre at zoning. It depends on the character's ability to throw projectiles and ranged attacks.

In Mortal Kombat 11, fighters mainly use their projectiles to zone their opponents, and like any tier list, we can create a character zoning level in Mortal Kombat 11. I'll divide these sections into three parts; the best zonators, the best antizonators and the bad zoners.

Let's get started:

Best Zoners in Mortal Kombat 11

Of the thirty-seven playable fighters in the game, only a handful of fighters are considered good zoners due to their ability to deal damage from a distance and the multiple projectiles in their arsenals.

Below are some of the best zoners in the game:

  • Cetrion
  • Shang Tsung
  • Cassie cage
  • Kitana
  • Liu Kang
  • Jax Briggs
  • Fujin
  • freezing
  • Joker
  • Scarlet
  • Robocop
  • Cabal
  • Jade
  • Noob Saibot

Worst zoners in the game

Below is a list of characters who have zoning abilities but are not the best at it:

  • Geras
  • Jackie Briggs
  • Erron Black
  • Shao Kahn
  • Scorpion
  • Sindel
  • Below zero

The best counterzoners in the game

Below is a list of fighters that will face fighters with strong zoning skills:

  • Scorpion
  • Night Wolf
  • Noob Siabot
  • Raiden
  • Below zero
  • Liu Kang
  • Jade
  • Erron Black
  • Rambo
  • Milina

Best Rushdown Characters in Mortal Kombat 11

The term "Rushdown" refers to such characters in fighting games who have great attacking power and have super-fast attacks that leave no room for defense.

Such characters are quite deadly at close range and often force their opponents to approach them.

They often don't have massive damage attacks, but their ability to launch multiple attacks in a combo makes them equally deadly. As with each character's other specific characters, a few fighters are good haste characters, and some are just mediocre or poor at the role.

These fast-moving characters often have high mobility and decent movement speed, which helps them close the distance between their opponents.

For these reasons, some characters are even better versed in zones, as well as the characteristics of swiftness.

Such characters dash down to close the gap between their opponents to deal damage, and they are extremely deadly at close range. They are best countered by keeping your distance from your attacks and looking out for your projectiles, which is easier said than done.

Here's a list of the fighters that I consider to be the best Rushdown characters currently in the game:

  • Liu Kang
  • Jackie Briggs
  • Sonya
  • Geras
  • Scorpion
  • Jax Briggs
  • Kung Lao
  • Night Wolf
  • Johnny Cage
  • Baraka
  • Erron Black
  • Sheeva
  • Rambo
  • Terminator
  • Rain

Best Grappler Characters in Mortal Kombat 11

Mortal Kombat is known for its violence, and most of the violence occurs in combat. The term Grappler refers to such people who use grapple and throw attacks to inflict damage on their opponent.

These characters are usually slow and huge. They also have good to strong defenses and are usually difficult to deal damage, but they are balanced with their slow mobility and movement speed, which allow high mobility characters to take them by surprise.

If the wrestlers move quickly around the stage, they will have some weakness to balance the characters.

For example, in the case of Geras, he is one of the best grapplers in the game and has a decent movement speed.

He has melee normals and needs to be closer to his opponents in order to deal damage. In such cases, it will be constrained by the decent nature of the zoning. Below is a list of the characters that I consider to be the best fighters in the game:

  • Geras
  • Sheeva
  • Jax Briggs
  • Kano
  • Cabal
  • Kotal Kan
The gameplay of Mortal Kombat 11 mostly favors high damage dealers and fighters who have multiple projectile attacks.

Most of the characters are either good at rushdown, or some would like to keep their distance from opponents.

Each character has grapple attacks, but there are no grapple-specific characters except for one or two.

Final verdict:

Mortal Kombat 11 is the sequel to the popular and popular game Mortal Kombat X. It features several fighters from the previous game, as well as a new character added to the Mortal Kombat 11 roster.

Mortal Kombat 11 is the perfect package to offer challenging yet insanely addicting gameplay.

Mortal Kombat 11 did not use a similar way of using certain combos to master characters, it is more of a “ make your own combo  ” game  given that players will have extensive knowledge of the game and the characters involved.

The game borrows the formula of superior fighting game from its predecessor and takes the game to the next level.

It has an impressive set of players compared to the previous game and includes guest characters from action movies and other games.

The game suffers from one big issue - the amount of shredding it takes to unlock customization, which is very frustrating and useless locked behind the doors of Krypt and Towers of Time.

Mortal Kombat 11 proved to be more like a fighting game than a bloody button fight.
