How to Get New Food Recipes in Valheim: Hearth & Home - Onion Soup, Glazed Ice Cream, Wolf Skewer & More

Hearth & Home is a major update for Valheim that adds new content to the game. In particular, unique dishes have appeared that allow you to increase your maximum health and stamina. In this guide, we'll show you how to unlock new food recipes in Valheim.

After the Hearth and Home update, the food system in Valheim has changed. Now all dishes are divided into three categories:

  • Red . This type of food increases maximum health.
  • Yellow . Food in this category increases stamina.
  • White . These foods increase both health and stamina, but not as effectively as the foods in the first two categories.

You must choose the dishes that match your tactics.

Please note that you need a stone oven to bake pastries. You can only build it after you defeat the fourth boss named Mouder.  To build a stone kiln, you need Surtling Cores. They can be found in chests and burial rooms in the Black Forest, as well as knocked out of the surtlings themselves, who live in swamps and ash lands. In addition, you will need stone and iron.
