How to open the safe in the cave under the Dorsey mansion in Deathloop

Where to find the password for the safe under the Alexis Dorsey mansion

While exploring Downtown in Deathloop, you can find a tunnel and a cave located right under the Wolf's Lair - Alexis Dorsey's mansion. Go down there and find a locked safe with THREE combination locks! Looking ahead, I emphasize that all code combinations in the game are random for each player. On the other hand, each codeword is the same day in and day out. That is, for example, once you find the code for Gideon Fry's delivery kiosks, you can use it for the rest of the game.

In the cave itself, there is a map that gives a hint on where to look for all the code combinations. In this guide, I will show you how to interpret these clues on the map and determine the location of all the numbers.

Safe location, maps and notes

Travel to Downtown and face Alexis Dorsey's mansion, where he holds wolf parties every night. The tunnel is located directly under the road, crossing it across. To the right of the entrance to the mansion is a sculpture in the form of a huge red wolf's head. Right on the cliff. In the same place, look for the entrance to the cave, not far from the path to the back door to the Alexis mansion.

The fastest and easiest way to get to this place: exit the tunnel, go through the Candy Bar on the left and exit through the back door of this establishment. Kill two residents along the way. Turn right and follow the cliff to the door marked HZN. Keep to the left and continue along the edge of the cliff. Kill the two residents at the broken rail and walk past where they were. Your goal is a rocky valley below you, there will be a tunnel. Inside you will find a white board, a map, a scribbled document, and several triangles depicted on the wall. There will be a safe under your feet, which requires codes to open.z*cx

Arrangement of numbers from the code combination from Dorsey's safe

The map and triangles indicate six different locations in Downtown. Each of these locations contains part of one of the three-digit codes! You will need to find all these places and write down each number. And when I write to write it down, I mean write it down - with a pen, pencil, or in a notebook on a computer. To avoid confusion, look at the screenshot below for the lettering of all the important places.

Part of code A

You can find this code at noon in Downtown. Go to the huge fortress Charlie, where the game "Space Invader" takes place. You will definitely visit it according to the plot of the game. examine the door (doorway, closed by roller shutters; shutters) in the upper right in front of the entrance. The number will be displayed directly above it.

Part of code A

Part of code B

It is difficult to describe the exact location of this number in words, although I will try. When you exit the tunnel, go to the Candy Bar building (the very beginning, two residents are standing here in the evening and a third girl runs up to them). To the right of the building there is an alley between two buildings. You can go down the slope or climb the ledge near the building on the right. Go down the slope. A van is parked here during the day and there are two residents. Stand by the van and turn around to find a number on one of the canopy supports. Right at the bottom. In the screenshot you can see the number "0".

Part of code B

Part of code C

This figure should be looked for right at the entrance to the library - a building in the center of Downtown, where people gather during the day, and in the evening (opposite the building) there is a stage. Face the front door to the library and look left. The number is hidden behind a red panel. It's slightly dimmed, so you'll have to fiddle with adjusting the screen brightness a little.

Part of code C

Part of code D

Go to Otto's workshop, which you will definitely need to visit for the "Ballad of Frank Balagur" quest. You need to face the workshop and examine the walls on the building to the left of it. So it is completely unnecessary to visit the workshop in the morning before it is blown up.

Part of code D

Part of code E

Next, go to the building where the Moxie game takes place. Stand facing the entrance and look to the right. Look for the figure on the overpass of the tunnel on the right (the arch you must go through to climb up the slope).

Part of code E

Part of the F code

Go to the Dorsey Mansion and face the entrance. Look to the right, head there to the first set of buildings and you will find a plaque that reads The Final Nights of Bad Luck Mary. The number you need is next to the plate. If I'm not confusing anything. In any case, look at the screenshot below and look for the indicated location.

How to get codes from the safe under the Dorsey mansion

To get the correct code combinations from the found numbers, you need to use the triangles hanging on the wall in the cave. One of them is already drawn directly on the map with a hint. Place triangles on this card figuratively to get the correct number combinations. Use Roman numerals at the corners of the triangle to determine the correct sequence of the numbers found in each code. The code combinations will be different for every player!

How to get codes from the safe under the Dorsey mansion

For example, in the case of our triangles, the code combinations had to be composed of the following numbers: ABC, ACD and AFD. But then comes the tricky part. If in the first two triangles you can use a sequence of numbers without a slash, with one slash and with two, then the third is more difficult. You will have to act by selection. If this third triangle contains numbers A, B, C, then work out all the combinations with them - ABC, ACB, BAC, BCA, CAB, CBA. Continue entering these codes and you will soon be able to open the safe.
