This guide contains console commands for setting up the CS: GO sound (it is desirable to save them in CFG) and sound settings in Windows 10 in order to clearly understand where the sounds of footsteps and shots of your allies and rivals in the game are coming from.
Console commands
- dsp_enhance_stereo " 1 " ( 0 - default) - stereo enhancement effect. You can better understand the steps behind the walls
- dsp_slow_cpu " 0 " ( 0 - default) - sound quality (high " 0 " or low " 1 ")
- snd_headphone_pan_exponent " 2.0 " ( 1.0 - default) - approximation of sounds in the game. In action, sounds are louder as they get closer
- snd_hwcompat " 0 " ( 0 - default) - improved sound processing (yes " 0 " or no " 1 "). Sounds are clearly reproduced in the game
- snd_menumusic_volume " 0.000000 " ( 1.000000 - by default) - the volume of the music in the game menu
- snd_mixahead " 0.025 " ( 0.100 - default) - delay of sounds on any card to real time. If you set the value below, then an unpleasant sound will always occur until you set the value of this parameter back
- snd_roundend_volume " 0.000000 " ( 1.000000 - by default) - the volume of the music at the end of the round. It interferes with play and conversation.
- snd_roundstart_volume " 0.000000 " ( 1.000000 - by default) - the volume of the music at the beginning of the round. Same
- snd_tensecondwarning_volume " 0.060000 " ( 1.000000 is the default) - the volume of the ten second warning music. Useful when you do not know if you will have time to defuse a bomb using CT
- snd_surround_speakers " 5 or 7 " ( -1 is the default) - the type of audio output device. We need 5.1 or 7.1 headphones
- volume " 1.000000 " ( 1.000000 - by default) - the overall volume of the game. So that all sounds are clearly audible
