CROSSPLAY VANGUARD, CAN WE PLAY CROSS-PLATFORM ON CALL OF DUTY?

 

With the upcoming release of Call of Duty: Vanguard on PS4, PS5, Xbox and PC, many players are wondering if it will be possible to play crossplay.

With the release of Call of Duty: Vanguard many players are wondering if the game is available in crossplay. The previous games, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare , indeed allowed to play between different platforms and generations of consoles.

It is indeed possible to play in crossplay , but also in cross-generations, between the different platforms of Call of Duty: Vanguard.

Is crossplay available on Call of Duty: Vanguard?

Players can play between different platforms, but also between different generations of consoles, on Vanguard thanks to the crossplay in multiplayer mode and Zombies. For example, a PS4 player can be in the same lobby as a PC player, just as an Xbox One player can share their game with Xbox Series X / S players. Players who participated in the game's beta can attest to this.

This feature was introduced with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in 2019, and while the rivalry between controller and keyboard / mouse players persists, is still present in Call of Duty: Vanguard. A possibility that is also present on Warzone . However, it is possible to deactivate crossplay in the game menus.
