But free kicks aren't as difficult as they look. With a little practice anyone can take perfect free kicks and we'll show you what to watch out for.
This is how free kicks work in FIFA 22: In general, not much has changed compared to FIFA 21. In order to take a free kick, the following steps must be taken:
- Choose the free kick taker
- Determine start-up
- Aim with the white circle (indicator) and determine the direction and height
- Charge shot power
- Set the spin with the right stick during the run-up
- If necessary, do a timed finishing
The decisive factor is the spin, because it determines what the trajectory of the ball will be. Here you can find out what is particularly effective this year.
3 free kicks that you should definitely practice
Unfortunately, there is no guarantee or the perfect way to convert every free kick. But with enough training and the right technique, you can learn to regularly get free kicks into the net. However, it is also important that you have a strong free-kick taker on the team who can show good free-kick stats.
