 Online shooter CS: GO is a dynamic game in which a lot depends on the speed of the system and the equipment used. If for some reason the game lags, malfunctions, slows down, this negatively affects the gameplay - you can be killed, you will not notice the enemy, or you will lose in the decisive battle. To avoid this, it is necessary to fight with lags.
There are several reasons for "slowing down", if you do not know what exactly is the matter, go through the entire list from the very beginning, excluding possible options. Possible sources of problems:
- Mismatch of the computer parameters to the optimal requirements;
- Problems with data transmission on the line;
- Incorrect video and FPS settings in the game.
Before trying to tweak and fix anything, take a look at the minimum and optimal requirements for the game and compare them with your computer. If any of the indicators is below the minimum value, it's time to start updating the equipment.
If the Internet is unstable, there are problems with data transmission, all that can be done is to change the provider, or to find out the cause of the failures and wait for their correction.
The speed of the computer and the processes occurring in the game also depends on the correct settings. The most "demanding" parameter is the video, because of it, problems most often arise. To remove lags in CS: GO and set up your FPS correctly, you need to perform a few simple steps.
1. Open the game console by pressing the "~" button. If the console does not open, you should go to the "Settings" item in the game by selecting "Enable developer console". Another option is to turn off the game, open Steam and go to Launch Options in the Library menu. In the window that appears, enter "-console" without quotes.
2. In the console that opens, enter the following commands in sequence:
- rate 1000000
- cl_updaterate 128
- cl_cmdrate 128
- fps_max 128 (you can specify a larger value, it all depends on the installed video card)
- cl_interp_ratio 1
- cl_interp 0
- cl_bobcycle 0.98
3. In the "Main Menu" select the "Options" and "Video Settings" tab and set the minimum values.
4. In addition to the FPS settings in the game, you can remove animation, as well as reduce additional parameters, which will also increase the FPS. The commands should be written to the console:
- cl_disable_ragdolls 1 - remove Ragdoll physics;
- dsp_slow_cpu 1 - reduce sound quality;
- mat_disable_bloom 1 - disable bloom effect;
- r_drawparticles 0 - remove almost all animation (shots, water splashes, etc.).
